Advertising influences people’s behavior in a negative way.





People are surrounded by mass media everyday so we cannot escape from advertising from newspaper, radio and television. Advertising influences us in many ways but it targets on selling more to people and in fact it has negative effects on us by doing so.

Advertisements, especially those on TV which reach more people with colourful pictures and moving music always create a false image of life to attract consumers. For instance, the cooker ads always show a young and beautiful lady who provides gorgeous food to her family member. A handsome husband and two or three lovely children are sitting around the table and smiling at the busy but happy housewife. The dining room is wonderful too, which faces a large garden with meadow and flowers. This ad promotes the cooker with all these elements of perfect family life and intends to let people think that the cooker makes it happen. Housewives who watch this ad are willing to buy the cooker because they hope that their lives will be that happy which shows in the ads. In fact, just a cooker will not change your life, you still have to stay in the kitchen for so many hours to prepare meals. The ad cheats us here.

What’s more, ad always promotes things which are not useful in our daily life. Ads for luxury items are usually fall in this category. They promote genuine leather bags which are extremely expensive and emphasize that the manufactures produce only ten of them for a significant event. People cannot help considering the bag as a symbol for one’s richness and high standard of living and purchase in spite of the fact that he or she will not have opportunity to carry it.

As for old things at home, ads are kinds of catastrophe. Ads show a new cellphone which can help people surf on line much more quick than your previous used ones which bought last months. Though the presently used one is still brand new, people tend to throw it away and go for the one in the ads which shows excellent functions. A lot of things are thrown away before they are worn out for the owners are attracted by the ones in ads.

In conclusion, advertising spares no effort in persuading us buy their things without reasonable thought. Money and time are wasted.

Subjects such as art, music, and drama should be a part of every child’s basic education.

A person’s knowledge and understanding about art play an increasingly important role in evaluating a man’s characteristic nowadays. As a result, education about art for a child is a foundation to establish a more honorable man in the future.

Art education provides a child opportunity to evolve in different art forms and develop a lifelong interest. A child who takes piano classes when young is not necessary to become a pianist or a music teacher. The love for piano and skills one masters can be a precious fortune. One can pursue a peaceful mind by playing a song when get into troubles. It gives a rest and an alternate mood to think up a new solution. In this view, art interest provides a peaceful harbor for heart and soul. Furthermore, skills in art offer a new image of one to others. For example, co-workers in the same office always have similar diplomat, ability, experience and incomes. They are often mentioned as a group and no particular attention will be paid to a certain one person. Now, the one who has learnt how to paint with water-colour is outstanding. This skill learnt in childhood, since adult’s life is too busy to learn something in art unless the one who majors in it, adds a new characteristic to a person and gain positive comments. Others tend to think he is talented and unique for he has acquired a skill which not common in his group. This positive image may not bring benefits immediately but actually improve your status in other’s minds, which means trust and appraise.

In addition, children are curiosity to learn new things. It is wasting resource for not teach them about art. They learn things quickly and will remember it for nearly the whole life. Artistic knowledge which needs a lot of accumulation is particular to being taught from a young age.

All in all, education about art in childhood will benefit a lot through an entire life.
