1002作业 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Spending time alone is the best way to relieve stress?
Obviously, in many cases ,staying alone is a good way to relieve stress. Because we don't have to endure the pressure of dealing with people. However, it is a little bit absolute to say that spending time a lone is the best way to relieve pressure.
First of all, spending time alone while a person is under immense pressure may not help him to release and sometimes even increase the pressure on him. For some people or people in particular situation, staying alone will cause their cranky imagine. For example, pregnant women, if they always staying alone with random thinking, they are prone to have depression. And there will be bad results for some particular people ,too. It is known to us that when we face pressure alone, we will feel more weak, thus contribute to adding our feeling of pressure and helpless. And for some one who is introverted and pessimistic , that will cause unthinkable consequence. Thus, spending time alone to ease pressure can't work in some cases.
Moreover, in general,staying alone is not the best way to release stress. As we all experienced, we may want to talk with our friends about all of our stuffs, including of course our pressure, our puzzle. Undeniably, this is a good way to relieve stress. Because we can reveal our idea to our friends ,therefore, they can give us advice and comfort us. Taking myself as an example, last semester I was preparing for the GMAT. To be candid, I was very nervous about that test , because GMAT is acknowledged as one of the hardest exam. As the exam getting close , I feel more and more nervous and stressful. Then, a friend of mine, who had taken the test comfort me that this exam is not difficult if I don't imagine it to be hard, in turn, if I afraid of it , I certainly will be "defeated". Her words help me calmly face the examination. Therefore, talking with friends or family is a better way to ease our tension and pressure sometimes.
Staying alone, nevertheless, without disturbs from others , we can try our best to relax . We can do what we want to relieve pressure. Actually, talking about our problem with others will make us feel tired, while we need a true relax and rest when we face pressure. Under this circumstance, we may prefer to spend time alone.
In conclusion, the saying that spending time alone is the best way to ease pressure is relatively weak.
