政府打算建一所新大学，有人认为你家附近是个合适的地方。比较好处与坏处，详细阐述。

Nowadays, more and more universities are enlarging their scales to attract more top students thus an increasing number of people have more chances to attend college. That is a great thing. It is reported that the government olan to build a university in my community. Some people think that the university will have a lot of good influence on our community. However, others hold an opposite idea about this thing. I think we can get a lot of benefit from the new university.

Without any doubts, the construction of the university will renew our environment. Everyone wants to live and study in a beautiful campus, so a clean and tidy environment around the university is very important. More and more facilities, for instance, supermaket, traffic station will be set up to provide necessary services to make life convienient. As a result, our life will be much easier, too and may be I can roam in the campus in the evening to see the sunset. As I know, there is more the university can bring out.

A notable university must be famous for its academic traditions. If there is a university becoming our neighborhood, we will be impacted by the desire for knowledge and truth. For jueveniles, they may be motivated to get further education to learn about the world more. In my oipnion, there is nothing could be better than this. Maybe when I leave my home, I will greet my neighbor who is a professor and I can exchange some intersting views with him or her.

Just like a coin has two sides, there are also disadvantages of constructing a university in our community. Obviously, a great many students will live in the university so that it has a huge influence on security of the community. As we know, it is not very rare that crime will happen in the campus. Also, we have to bear the noise during the construction.

Generally speaking, the university shold be established in our community. The merits of setting up the university carry more weight than the shortcomings of that. While there are a great many of methods can deal with the problems and improve our environment. For example, the university can make effective rules to protect students and ensure security. The university can not be built during night so that it will not disturb people in the community. So I definitely believe that the university will be good for us.
