Writing task2

Write about the following topic:

Research indicates that the characteristics we are born with have much more influence on our personality and development than any experiences we may have in our life.

Which do you consider to be the major influence?

Debates about whether our genetic features or social influences are more important to a person's develop have always on the way. Though both are crucial to personality building and development, I believe that the latter, i.e. social influences are more important for this process. I have two main reasons.

First and for all, human beings are social animals. From the day they were born they live and die within different social relations. No one can completely isolate him/herself from this society and live on normally. Social influences are inevitable and exert a long-term impact in the individual. Genetic features may exert an inner effect on the individual, while social influences are all in a contingent condition and render the individual uncomfortable in varied new situations.

Secondly, and more importantly, human beings grow up through interacting with others. In this process, they learn their first language, learn how to communicate with others and build and maintain a stable relationship with others. Some individuals find it hard to adapt to new environments and that is because they find it hard to build new relationship with new friends. The relationship building process exerts a great influence on personality development.

Social influences in a life-time factor affecting individuals’ personality development. Especially in the adolescent period, youngsters are susceptible to different social events. Without proper instructions it will be very easy for them to go astray. Thus, emphasis on exterior factors would remind us on how to properly guide and raise our children in this changing world.

整篇文章就是从两个方面来说的，两边各打五十大板。话说这也符合题目要求啊？题目不是明确要求说

就是你认为
哪一方面比较重要嘛。然后你说 “两方面同样重要”？？

是你没有理解题目、、、他只是问你觉得什么是major influence 。没有一定要你选。。。不要用中国人的思维来想它。。。淡定

我的理解是 which one do you think... 而不是what do you think....

不过范文都如此了，。。。。

那我也可以那样写啊？MS不少人都是两方面都写的。真晕，我不喜欢。什么都写像什么都没写一样~

我觉得如果你是一个思想比较深刻的孩子。。就是对社会问题分析比较清晰且深入的人。。。。换句话说就是这个问题如果用中文。。你能头头世道、、那么你可以写一方面深入分析效果会更好。。但是反之，，两边写比较稳当。。不会无话可说。。考场作文保险最好。。个人意见
