10.9的作业这篇起要放低一些对自己语言的要求,因为老琢磨语言牺牲了很多逻辑思考的部分~~
还有今天起要多列提纲锻炼思维!!!

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Teachers should not show their social or political views in the classroom.
"Politics fooled us!". I still clearly remember the scene that my history teacher was generously talking about the flaws of today's political system in his class. It seems that a great many similar things happened in schools. Although many claim that it is unwise for a teacher to have their own opinions expose to the classmates, from my point of view, teachers are allowed and even recommended to do so, because of the freedom of holding different arguements, the importance of stimulating students' thoughts, and the principle of sharing each other's views.
Initially, I perceive the essence of education is to share the knowledge and thoughts. That is to say, not only the "died" textbook ought to be taught, but also our "alive" mental activities should. For instance, some teachers just read the content in book lines after lines, felt boring and asleep, while others may at first digested the words in book, melted with their self-experience or current affairs and ultimately developed a new way to give the lessons. If investigations of which teacher is more popular being conducted, I dare to guess the latter one will definitely win. Thus, students, as well as the merit of education require teachers to express their views.
Furthermore, ideas must be crashed so that new ones could be created. Take me as an example, I had a very impressive memory of participating one discussion course held in my university. In the class, students, instructed by a professor, played roles as delegations of a large number of countries, arguing the relationship between human rights and political force at home. From his perspective, the professor carried out a series of questions for us to brainstorm, and lead the debating deeper and deeper. Due to this interaction ways of study, I believe students would come up with more profound thoughts toward this topic.
Admittedly, what teachers said makes great influence on children, and that's why people always condemn that it's irresponsible for teachers to show their personal opinion in front of students. However, on the one hand, making personal speech on a certain issue, no matter good or bad, is part of human's rights and freedoms. Everyone including teachers have the right to comment and speak. On the other hand, students also should be taught about how to distinguish right from wrong. Keeping the habit of raising questions and the spirit of suspecting truth benefits their academic study. Moreover, many of a time, the complicated political affairs and the vital social problems can't be judged by a simply answer of true or false.
From what has been mentioned above, it is not hard to conclude that the political or social views presented by teachers in class should not be blamed. Instead, it benefits the teaching of sharing varied opinions and creating brand new ideas. |
