Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Teachers should not show their social or political views in the classroom.

It is information exploded society when news is emerging continuously and unpredictably, we keep finding ways in order to relieve our feelings and views. Celebrities’ perspectives are stared by medias(media), some people find their way by writing blog on Internet, some are incline to publish articles or deliver speech, some teacher, however, choose the way of talking about his/her own views through lectures. This kind of demeanor is quite controversial for the reason that the particular angle he/she approach to the social or political problems may lead the students to explore them deeper, no matter through the negative access or positive ones.
First and foremost, we should take the students’ age range into consideration, that is, the particular stage in one’s life is the key factor we cannot disregard. For example, when children are at elementary school, they are too young to form his/her own perspective about the whole world. Their principles and behavior are simple and susceptible, half the time they might regard their teachers as infallible saints whose words are always legitimate. Consequently, if teachers express their views to these little kids, especially those negative attitudes toward social or political, they may bewilder these naïve children from their approaching to the outside world. In such cases, teachers are culpable in misleading the children.
On the other hand, when students, who have already entered the universities, are judging the teachers’ views in lectures, it would be beneficial for both lecturers and students. As lecturers, they successfully find a way to deliver what he/she wants to express, which can also stimulate he/she to speculate and contemplate or even work out solutions. As students, as they become maturely, values and stereotype have already imbedded in their minds. Thus they would question the views given by teachers before accepting them. Moreover, they could consider the social or political views just as teachers do for they are not easily pliable adults.
All in all, I hold the standpoint that teachers should carefully show their views of social or political according to the extent of students’ maturity. ' L w, A# e9 P+ D( b! A
1看完第一段,我不知道观点是什么
2理由不太充分,感觉你要对比写的话,每一部分至少要有2个论点吧?而且每一段论点也不明确。
3最后一段可以改改,例如加一句,considering the age of different group of students, I hold ……这样可以与前文对起来 |
