Nowadays many people hold the idea that the advertising is a waste of time and money for customers already know what they want. For my part, this position misses the point. Among countless factors which influence my decision, there are two conspicuous aspects as follows.

The former reason for my penchant is that not all customers already know what they want. Without the advertising, people might not know the function of the new product and thereby they are not likely to buy them. The example in point is the development of the computer. It is the advertisements that induce people to get to know it such as its function, operation and realize the significance of it. On the other hand, we can not decide which size, brand we should choose if we don't see the advertisements of sellers, even though we but know we want that. Suppose that we plan to buy one mobile phone, the first thing we do may be searching the advertisements of all kinds we are interested. After we have a general outlook of the information, we will decide which we will buy.

The latter reason can be seen by people is that advertising is not a waste of time and money. Advertising could spread a variety of information all over the world. Here the information not only includes the commercial promotion, but also the culture. It is increasingly popular that the advertisements develop along with the culture. For instance, the advertisement of the tea could take the culture of the tea overseas. When it comes to the mere commercial promotion, we should see the positive side. The existence of the advertisement could reduce the cost of the newspapers, predicals and the television programs. And, all kinds of advertisements could bring the fierce competition among the sellers, which could eventually benefits the customers.

Admittedly, sometimes people buy useless things under the persuasion of the advertisements. Besides, the over popularity of the advertisements sometimes waste the resources of the society to some extent. However, we should miss the importance of the advertisemnts.

Above all, advertising has its own function in the society which could not be ignored and is not a waste of time and money. The information of advertising makes shopping more convenient and cheap. The excessive development of the advertising should be in control in the future and the balance would benefit us more.

总体来说还是不错的,文章段落清晰,举的例子也到位,但如果能举更加具体的例子,那么说服力就更好了。我们应该区分讲故事和讲例子在文章中的作用,后者毫无疑问是最具有张力的,能讲多具体就多具体。比方说,nike接乔丹之力将自己的商业帝国拓展到全球,其中的air jordan 风靡一时,每个打篮球的孩子都梦想自己打篮球是穿的球鞋上面有乔丹的签名。
希望下个礼拜能再看到你的作文。
