During the summer of 1999 Sanctum scurried through the US northeast for eleven shows, one of

which brought them to this legendary NYC joint. For various reasons the two girlies in the band

had to be left behind in Europe, which explains why this recording shows off more of industrial

horsepower rather than ethereal fragility.

Sanctum create music that penetrates the human mind and its extremes. It throws you from a cage

of tigers into the arms of angels, flows like raging water with islands of delicate silence. It

is enchanting magic industrial harmonies with intelligent orchestral cascades influenced by

ritual neoclassic and dark gothic music, samples of sound and rhythm that form a challenging

frame for the harsh male voice and the sometimes brutal, sometimes fair female voice.

Sephiroth relate stories about the inexorable and destructive power of Time, mankind's futile

attempts of resistance, and the sunken cities, fallen towers, and overgrown ruins that this has

resulted in. Dark eerie soundscapes and ritualistic drums are combined with own field recordings

from places like Cairo, Iceland, and gloomy Nordic forests. Sephiroth's music whispers about the

Gods we are desperately trying to appease, only for then finding ourselves dying before the

monuments we spent our lives building. Sephiroth bid you welcome into the ruins and down to the

deep forgotten catacombs.

Shifting focus from Arcana to Sophia seems to have cured whatever creative cramp that Peter

Pettersson has suffered from. In less than a year's time a second full length album is due for

release, not long after the recent 10" EP on Pettersson's own label Erebus Odora. Comparisons

with Der Blutharsch and even In Slaughter Natives are legitimate, as Sophia paint a similar sort

of epic frescos. These are the solemn and sonorous melodies belted out by the pipers and drummers

while the army retract from a hard day's work at the battlefield, saving the kingdom from legions

of infidels. Their ruler rejoices, as does Roger Karmanik, to have such talented people within

their ranks.

Anenzephalia are a wellknown cult band in the underground industrial scene in Germany, Europe and

the World. With obscure limited edition releases on labels such as Tesco and RRRecords and with a

close relation to their label mates Genocide Organ, they, or he, or whoever really is the core of

this mysterious band, have made a mark in the annals of German industrial music.

This is not just another Anenzephalia live recording, since this was a special, and may we add a

very odd occasion: In Slaughter Natives and Mortiis(!) opening up for Anenzephalia!! We who were

there recall an almost religious experience, an intense show with throbbing electronics setting

up the scene for B. Moloch's chilling voice. Now, five years later, this legendary live set sees

the light again with this release, and hopefully gets the attention it deserves.

简介: GOTHICA是意大利的一支黑暗双人组合,由ROBERTO DEL VECCHIO（键盘，主唱，贝司及打乐器）与ALESSANDRA SANTOVITO（主唱，键盘，打击乐器）于95年初正式成立,当然他们进行创作的时候，常常邀请其他的艺术家来参与如Flavia Prosperi (flute), Laura Vinciguerra (violin), Claudio Di Bucchianico (oboe), Carmine Giangiacomo (guitar), Marco Bacceli (drums). 几乎所有的歌词都由ALESSANDRA创作，那些古老神话中的故事在她的演绎下别有一番风韵.

95年9月,GOTHICA自己录制并地下发行了自己首张同名demo，在乐迷杂志与一些当地媒体的推荐下，很快便传遍了意大利全国，甚至连其他国家的乐迷夜幕名来购买。96年11月，乐队的新歌"nothingness" 被dawn of sadness出品的系列合辑"scream form italy vil.3"所收录.


98年6月,GOTHICA再次自己录制了第二张demo"PROSERPINA"这张8首歌的作品再次得到乐迷的肯定，英国的music &elsewhere法国的adipocere records,希腊的christ forum,波兰的etemal deformity,苏格兰的golden lake records纷纷与乐队签下了发行合同.


2000年4月意大利神秘厂牌energeia在其发行的系列和及intimations of immortality vol.5中收录了乐队的the land under the waves"(demo vision)


2000年10月，GOTHICA的第一张正式CD专辑"night throught"在CMI的分支厂牌CRUEL MOON下发表.

这张在CRUEL MOON发表的专辑,带有浓厚的南欧黑暗音乐色彩.典雅,华丽(相对于欧洲其他地区的黑暗民谣而言) 带有许多天主教音乐元素.沉郁的键盘,圣洁的管风琴,学院派女高音,低沉浑厚的男声,一些手鼓敲击混合在一起.
