1．        广泛的知识面的好处。了解其他的专业，可能会找到自己的兴趣所在；全面提高了自身的素质和文化素养；全面发展。
2．        但是，盲目的追求广泛的知识不可取的。全部平庸在未来没有竞争力；应该先在自己的专业领域达到一定的深度，再考虑适当的了解，学习其他学科。
3．        而且，不同学生之间的条件不同，不应该对学生做强制的要求，否则可能适得其反。应该用一些手段措施宣传引导学生，让学生们自己做出适合的选择。

In gerneral, I agree with the speaker assertion that student shuld subjects outside their major. nevertheless, i disagree this that taking various extracurriculum is the best way to be truely educated. i need to caution that overextanding this assertion might risk of weakening the purpose of education.
agree:
1. acquiring knowledge of displines out of major will enlarge students eyeshot, deepen understanding to society, help students to be better tolerant and respect members in the future as well.
disagree:
2. over emphasising on various knowledge outside major, a student may dabbles in a hodgepodge of academic offerings without special consentrating on any one, becomes a dilettante lacking enough knowledge or experience in any single area to come away with anything valuble to offer.

even interested in it, or no potential at all ,they will be lost have not wannar further study.
2. various discinpline give students choose what they like actually and by the way cultivate a wide interest, which is important to study.
3. discinplines are not mutually excluded, they have relationships between, study another coursre may be helpful to your major, some may even bring inspiration.

大学是一个人生命中极其关键的阶段。我们在大学中接受教育的好坏直接关系到我们以后的成就。而大学设立的目的就是为了让每个寻求自我完善的人to be truly educated.

什么是true education？。。。所以，大学教育的核心理念是让一个人建立起他对世界最初的完整的认识，并引导他们找到各自的人生目标。

对于一个刚进入大学的学生，he should be required to take various courses outside his field of study. 1全面发展的需要 2找兴趣的需要。 所以，刚开始应淡化专业的概念，让学生有更多的选择。

接受基本的教育后，帮助他们在所选的专业based on interest找到各自的方向去深入。

当学生不仅在自己所学的专业上有所成就，并且能拥有开阔的视角，deriving from these courses they have learnt，对这个世界的各种事情有自己insightful and comprehensive cognition, can education be called true.
