SICOLIZATION对人发展的影响.

Charles Horton Cooley and George Herbert Mead are considered the cofounders of symbolic interactionism. Both wondered how the human infant developed a self, and both concluded that each person’s sense of self is socially created. In effect, we come to see ourselves as others see us.; thus we learn to view ourselves “from outside”. The essence of humanness-our ability to contemplate our own existence, our past, and our future-comes to us from society.

For this reason, sociologists refer to the process by which infants develop into normal humans as socialization. When we judge someone to be an adequate person, we say that he or she has been adequately socialized,-literally has been made social. At the start of our lives, we are not social because we are unable to understand the meaning of the behavior of those around us or to interpret the symbols they use to communicate. Therefore, we are unable to interact effectively. As a result, if we are deprived of contact with others from birth, we fail to become socialized.

All micro theories is the social sciences assert that choices is the most basic aspect of human behavior. Life is an endless series of choices, of alternative from which we must select. Moreover, all micro social science theories share the same view of how human make choices- that w try to do the rational, or most reasonable thing. For this reason all varieties of micro theories in social science recently have been referred to as rational choice theories. what does it mean to say human operate on the basis of rational choice? It means they to try to select the optional that will benefit them the most-that people will seek to gain reward and try to avoid costs. Some version of this statement of this statement serves as the first step or proposition in all of the many micro theories in the various social sciences. Often this is referred to as the rational choice, or self-interest, proposition.
