Objects displayed in the museum are definitely the things that are representative of the unique history, culture and technology of one country. But is visiting the museum the best way to know about a country? I think the answer is "no". There are many ways in which people can learn about a country, and visiting the museum is just one of them. Many other aspects of the country should be examined so that one can have a clear vision of the country.
Admittedly, museum provides important information about a country. The most valuable historical antiques, the most decent art works, and the most advanced technology are all displayed in the museum. By visiting museums, such as the history museum, the art museum and the science and technology museum, one can know about the life and achievements of the people in that country, both in the past and at present, which are important aspects of the country。 Nonetheless, there are many other informations that cannot be provided by visiting the museum.个人认为,在让步段中加一句转折可以让自己的理由显得更充分一些,而且也起到了承上启下的作用。。。。虽然我的水平不高,写的这句话可能不是很合适= =!
But since those on display in the museum are just objects selected by specialists to show the highest level of the achievement of that country, one can hardly know about the daily life of the ordinary people. Just visiting the museum can only give one a narrow view about the country, and it may be misleading if one wants to know about the real situation of a country. In fact, those beautiful vases and dishes displayed in the museum can only be used by the royal family in the past, and the advanced high-tech instruments are not available to the majority of people in the country. One cannot know about the political and economic situation as well as the living standard of that country, which are crucial aspects when learning about one country.
In order to know about a country, one need not only know about its history, but also its present; one should not only know about the life of elites, but also the life of the grass-roots. This is especially true if someone want to know about developing countries with a long history, among which China may be a best example. Foreigners cannot imagine how open and modern China is now by learning about its history of more than five thousand years, and they will also be misled about the current situation China since the gap between the rich and poor is still so large that by looking at the advanced devices enjoyed by the rich it is impossible to imagine the life of those in the lowest level of the society. Only by looking at documents and statistics that covers the whole picture of the society can one have a clear recognition of the real situation of the country.
In conclusion, visiting the museum can provide valuable knowledge about one country, but such knowledge can be partial and misleading. The best way of knowing a country is to fully examine the situation of the whole society by as more means as possible.
