刚刚栽bbs.mit上看到去ins转身份的i-20上要有change of status requested 的字样， 就是说去墨西哥和在ins赚得i-20是不同的，可是我的学校那个小米当时我问她的时候，很不耐烦地说没有关系，清在ins转成功过的姐妹们再帮我看看，是不是你们的i-20上都由change of status requested?

In my I-20, it said: Initial attendance, change of status requested.
I think it should be a fixed form for changing status in INS. Do you get your I-20, let it be if you already mailed your application. Don't too anxious about it and it will be okay. Take care!

I just got my I-20 without any remarks like" change of status requested".   Item 3 only says " Initial attendance at this school".  Can I use such I-20 to have status changed through the INS?

I don't know. I tried to call the OISS of my univeristy but there is sth wrong with the phone system. I can not reach them now. Or, could you call your university's OISS to see what they say?

这个应该是必须的. 我现在明白了为什么学校给我发了两份I-20. 第一份也就是我交到INS的是必须要有" CHANGE OF STATUS REQUESTED",  可是它没有标明,  所以学校又补发了一份给我. 现在我会打电话再问问学校,接下来该如何做, 是把有标明换身份的I-20 补交给INS, 还是再拿一份新的去MEXICO.

I just called the person who issued my I-20, but she said she had never done this before( adding remark "change of status requested" on I-20s). Then I called ISS for comfirmation, but no one answered, maybe because of lunch time. I will call back this afternoon. Hope the lack of remard is not a big problem.

hope so... i have been bothered so much by my I-20!!! I also wrote an email to the advisor of my university's OISS. Hopefully, I could have an answer back soon.
