In the reading section, the author states that the science of archaeology was faced with serious problems in Britain. However, the professor in the listening section argues that after 1990, the whole condition changes.

First, even though the reading passage suggest that many valuable artifacts were lost to construction projects, the professor argues that before any construction begins, the whole project should be examined by archaeologists.
