2.15Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Has technology made children less creative than they were in the past.

Currently, there is a wide spread concern that whether technology benefits children. Many people hold the opinion that technology helps children a lot because it can save time. However, in my prospect, technology leads children to be less thoughtful and creative.

To begin with, technology takes the opportunities for thinking away from children. In contemporary, children can solve the problems they met much easier than before because, in most families, there is at least one computer which is connected the internet, thus children can search for the answers extremely easy. But at the same time, the problem occurs. The easier the way of getting answers, the less possibilities children would think. Means that as the technology keep developing, the chances for children to work out the solutions by themselves will decrease. As a result, the creation capability of children will definitely decrease due to less time of thinking.

Additionally, many new inventions, like computers and ipads, cause an increasing number of children only willing to stay at home and play the games. In this situation, the children will be less talkative. Therefore the children currently will loose the opportunities to find out what they really interested in. In other words, they will never think about making some differences for the contemporary conditions, not even create anything new, which illustrates that children are losing their ability of creating from second to seconds

However, technology does provide children more chance to be creative to some extend. As the technology keeps developing, the time-consuming for children to gain knowledge decreases because there are a lot of equipments can make new knowledge much easier for children to understand. This enables children to get more information and therefore makes them wiser than they were in the past. In other words, they are able to create some thing new—they are creative.

To conclude, the recent children are less creative than they were in the past due to over-conveniences provided by technology; though to some extend technology provide a chance for children to be knowledgeable.
