I am happy to inform XDJM here a good news of my application. This morning my LP told me that the school I applied agree to provide a graduate assistant to me. I can hardly believe it because the time is so late and I don't think I can receive offer for this years' bad application situation.  The offer is following: 2 years, 25, 000 US$ ( includes stipend 13,000 per year and tuition waver 12000 US$ ), Master degree. So hope XDJM here don't lose your heart, the bright future is on the head.
There is a question of it. I have already submited my visa change package to the BCIS with the financical certificate. Should I request another I-20 form from my school or just mail my update offer letter to the BCIS, will it delay my application process? Hope XDJM can give me some precious suggestion. Thank you in advance.

congrats! i think you should ask for an updated I-20 form...and better talk with your university's OISS to see whether there are any chances for them to follow-up on your case...if possible, you may ask them to issue a letter on your behalf.

July 1 is the first day of a new financial year. Many prof.s got their fundings at the last moment. Some new offers will be sent out these days, I believe. I got some too. Other XDJM whitout financial aids could try to contact professors and hope all of you have good lucks!

Why not let your school help you expedite your application?  Give your receipt number to the ISS, then let them write letter or email to to BCIS. A couple of days ago, in a case in mit, a girl's shool's letter helped her in expediting her case in NB. Whether an updated I-20, you'd better talk with the ISS to confirm it.

To orangescent MM, your suggestion about the expedition of my appliction is very helpful. Thanks.
To Lordwithme MM, what do you mean " you may ask them to issue a letter on your behalf". What kind of letter, is it a cover letter written by ISO official? Any other suggestion is welcome.

goldeneye007,mitbbs的overseas版上我看见有个叫做"inong"的女生，和你情况有点像，她先申请自费转身份，刚收到被要求补材料的时候，学校通知她给她奖学金，然后记得她好象是要重新issue一份I-20，你不妨去请教请教她？

What i mean is close to what orangescent mm has suggested. It is a letter from your university's oiss asking for expedition, telling BCIS that you need to get your case approved as soon as possible in order to received the financial support from your university.

My major is science and the assistantship probably be paid by the department. I hope I can be assigned for the RA, in that I can do my research with my whole heart and I can pay double in the summer time. BTW, What's you major and the assistanship situation? Have a nice travel!
