Quite a few profound thinkers and creative artists are far ahead of their time and society. However, there are still more who could adapt into the reality but make good performance as well.

Above all, we should give a definition to what can be called profound thinkers and creative artists. Profound thinker should be defined as one who has the ability to educate people that time of the worth of life while creative artists can convey to people the beauty of art and give them satisfactory by artistic ways. According to the definition, more thinkers and artists who not only do good in his area but also communicate well with people of that time should be taken into consideration that

I concede that many celebrities didn't become famous until they died. Take Nietzsche for example, nobody in his time could understand his idea and feelings which drove him crazy while people nowadays speak highly of his contributions to the construction of the philosophy subject. Confucius, the great thinker and educationist who had set the found of China's education system which has a great influence on World's education system now, couldn't fulfill his dream of a harmonious society because all the king that time believed that force of arms was more effective than benevolent policy. However, we should take it in to consideration that these thinkers didn't concentrate on the vital conflict of that certain time. No one will learn to read and write until they could afford their lives.

The sentence "I have a dream." is still very impression nowadays. Never could we forget the great thinker who brought the idea of freedom to the Blacks in US, which is the vital conflict of society that time. He is great not only because of the sacrifice he made for liberty career but also the supports he wined by those people all over the country. When it comes to the artists, Da Vinci is also a famous artist who was warmly greeted during the time of Renaissance. Maybe only those who start an art form would get through hard times.

So only some of the great thinkers are ahead of their time, it's the same to those creative artists. If the thinkers focused on the vital conflict of society he would be welcomed. If the artists followed the predecessor and improve the technique of that form of arts they would be understood well.
