LZ没必要抱怨，我也拿到这个学校的offer了，虽然最后我decline了。我明白接受这个学校offer无非两种学生：没其他offer的和为了钱的。其实啊，那一个学校都没有想象中的那么好，都会有失落的

我估计是今年接受offer的人数超出了预期或者本地人扩招的政治原因，只好用interview卡人了。这是个人想法。

顺便贴一个工作人员地方弄来的回复吧。
This year the decision was taken by administration after the interview.  Next year, it will be better, I can assure you of this. In the 2012 cycle, the interviews will be very early and will be prior to a decision, so that when a student receives a letter next year, the decision will be final.  

the main point is that KAUST will not do this again.  Next year the interview and the academic decision will be integrated, and a final decision will be final and not contingent upon another step (interview).

去选择这种学校，学生自身也要找原因。

1. 如果你根本没有别的offer，那也没什么可抱怨的。
2. 如果你有其它欧美国家的不错的offer, 你没有选，去选这个学校，那只能说自己很不成熟，弄错了重点。

我也经历了这样一个过程，但是最终拿到了KAUST的final offer，其实说白了是这样的，KAUST发offer的时候考虑到可能有人会rej他们家的offer，所以多发了一小部分，但是结果发现很少有人拒他们家的offer，所以可能打算据掉一部分的offer，否则每个programme人数都会超额~~

‘没有offer和为了钱的’.... 确实去kaust的有这样的学生，但是不能否定这个去kaust的中国学生的群体，据我所知，今年也有几个拒了美国的offer和欧洲的offer过来的，还有拒了EM奖学金过来的...

总之，在拒掉其他的offer接受kaust的offer之前，一定请慎重考虑。

口头offer一定不能信。我就吃过亏。一定要让口头的变成official。老板随便找个理由就可以解决掉你。主要是不对等啊。
