Hobbies and physical activities that are similar to work enable to help employees achieve their goals by practising their skills and enjoying their work. In addition, their work can promote progress in hobbies in return.

Hobbies that are related to work improve technical skills and proficiency in job. The practice in hobbies that are often contacted accelerate speed and increase accuracy when employees fulfill tasks relevant to them. For instance, one research among U.S. Marines randomly selected 500 soldiers to find out what factors influence their shooting level in practice combat. The research results turned out to be very interesting that those with high shooting level spend a lot of their spare time playing video games such as Counter-Strike. Explanations reveal the fact that soldiers practise their insight into the unknown and reaction to dangers in virtual sets in video games. It is the practice that brings soldiers the essential ability to survive in battles and gain honour.

Furthermore, physical exercises often practised as recreation help employee maintain a good mood during the work that related to them. If one's job fortunately happens to be his hobby or the physical activities that he usually exercises, he will feel relaxed and tend to be devoted to the work he really enjoys. This relaxed and devoted state will lead a person to excellent performance in the job. Take yoga instructor as an example, daily practice as routine does not convert teaching trainees yoga into a bald and tough task even when the teaching lasts till late. The instructor enjoys his job, as a result, this enjoyment motivates him to be absorbed in the work and perform well.

At the same time, work that relevant to hobbies promote progress in hobbies in return. Daily practice in work enable a person to perform better than those amateurs as competitors in matches such as football game and swimming. That is why these matches are often divided into professional category and amateur category.

In conclusion, people should have hobbies and do physical activities that are similar to their own work for improvement and progress both in work and in hobbies.
