Entitled with human’s best friend, pets are now more and more common to see. Hence a variety of pet services also have emerged. As a result, the money spent on pets is increasing. Personally, I believe that it should be regulated.

First of all, there is no need to spend too much money on pets. People have already provided pets with enough things, such as delicious foods, warm shelters and medical cares, to make them live a comfortable life. Without worrying about survival, pets’ life-spans are now much longer than wild ones. My cat, for instance, is about 12 years old whereas many wild cats on school campus are only able to live for about 5 years. However, some think that they are（ this kind of behavior is far more enough,有点指代不明）not enough. They buy clothes for cats or dogs, and take them to the pet barber for grooming. Indeed, these things will not make pets live better.

When it comes to the usage of the dispensable part of money spent on pets, it could be （used）more meaningful. Take charities for example, these activities need a lot of money. In developing countries, many children drop out of school because their families cannot support them economically. Similarly, a man lost both of his hands cannot earn his living easily. (lost 和cannot是两个谓语动词了，把lost改成who lost吧)Without others’ help, these people cannot even have(换成enjoy更好吧) a life as good as pets already have.

Admittedly, pets bring us a lot of （前面有个a lot of 了，可以换成so much）happiness. For example, when my parents went to work and left me alone at home. My cat used to play with me or sleep beside me. Therefore I rarely felt lonely at home. （这里加个连词比较好吧，有点突兀，比如therefore）It is feasible to treat them well. Even so, it should not be an excuse for wasting money. Actually, instead of bringing benefits to pets, some pet services only satisfy human’s unnecessary demands.

Needless to say, both pets and other meaningful things are important to us. But in my opinion, pets are less important because they only entertain their masters. As long as there exists other more meaningful things, people should find a tradeoff between them.
