The issue of how to manage our lifetime is a controversial and universal one. Through the process of grown up, we may meet a lot of things which we are interested in and then set these interests as our goals to pursue. Accordingly, it is of great debate that whether one should stick to his or her origin goal despite the extent to which the goal can be achieved. As for me, though the people who can chase their dreams permanently are the ones I respect most, I don't think I will do that blindly.
One of the most significant reasons to support my idea is that the fancy goals are too hard for people to achieve. To some extent, most of us are normal ones and we are always suffering our natural drawbacks such as not being persistence. The dreaming goal usually means tough and unachievable, and most of us may just give up in the half-way and achieve nothing. In that case, it is rather an easy choice between a fantastic goal with nothing done and a realistic goal which is achieved completely.
In addition, a bigger success consists of several smaller ones. Taking climbing as an example, when we want to stand on the peak, the most achievable as well as the most efficient approach is just to step forward and doing so step by step, rather than holding the idea that this honor is not for most people because it is probably that we may treat us as one of the most people and stop chasing.
Moreover, it is of great risk for us just holding one aspiring goal. With the development of modern society, the surroundings are changing rapidly. In that way, we should just set some short-term goals which are achievable based on the current situation.
It is undeniable that all of us have had dozens of goals and wanted to be hundreds of different kind of people, though the final results is discouraged to some degree. Taking into account of all these factors, we may safely draw the conclusion that we should set up a series of small and achievable goals, not only for a long-term bigger goal, but also for getting rid of great risk.

10.11综合
The lecture completely refutes the passage. It is said in the lecture that, Chevalier cannot be wealthy at all when he was in Switzerland because he had bought a huge sums of money. Contrary to the belief in the passage that the lecturer hold the idea that Chevalier just lack of cash flow to run his business and thus to get his first bunch of money. According to the speaker, it is true that  Chevalier had spend huge amount of money on parties and gambling but he also need time, such as few days, to convert his asset into actual money.
In addition, the listening also against the idea hold in the passage that the information offered about the conversation between Chevalier and Voltaire is inaccurate. The professor said, Chevalier would write down the details he chatted with Voltaire before long he finished their conversation because others claimed that they once found Chevalier checked some old documents when he was composing the memoir. Moreover, the lecturer doubted the idea offered in the passage that Chevalier had bribed the prison manager and told a lie in his memoir. She declared that as soon as Chevalier escaped the prison, the prison repaired the ceiling which Chevalier had been to. Further, many people in that prison who were much more powerful, so, bribery is not convincing.

The professor said, Chevalier would write down the details he chatted with Voltaire before long he finished their conversation because others claimed that they once found Chevalier checked some old documents when he was composing the memoir. Moreover, the lecturer doubted the idea offered in the passage that Chevalier 是他的朋友 had bribed the prison manager and told a lie in his memoir. She declared that as soon as (是 soon after)Chevalier escaped the prison, the prison repaired the ceiling which Chevalier had been to. Further, many people in that prison who were much more powerful, so, bribery is not convincing.
