With the trend of globalization and the rapid development of technology, people are exposed to excessive information and we have an easy access to a various kinds of movies. Thus no time than today has ever focused on which kind fits us to watch.  Personally, not only movies that reflect real life but also other kinds of movies are worth watching.

First, fantasy movies that aim at entertainment can help people relax and relieve pressure, which can also be worth watching. Entertainment stands a more pivotal position than ever before especially for young adults since they resist greater stress nowadays. A recent survey conducted by a university in United States, covering over 100 responders, shows that after watching fantasy movies, they can definitely have a higher efficiency of working and studying. And a professor Sophia in Peking University, one of the best universities, contends that seeing fantasy movies can make people feel less nervous.

Second, another reason I want to convey is that romance films having unbelievable plots which provide us an opportunity to have a space to imagine are deserved appreciate. More and more people emphasize on innovation. But are we born with creative thinking? The answer is no. We, young adults, can have this ability by practicing. An old saying goes: genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Thus if we want to be innovative, providing a chance to imagine and to create is a must. And romance films can serve as tools to exercise. Life abounds with such examples. When we see incredible plots in the movie, we may think of how this happens and what will they do next, which provides us an access to imagine. Thus this kind of movies, not just movies that have real life meaning, is worth seeing.

Although these two movies have their seemingly profound merits, we cannot ignore the advantage of movies that can teach us something about real life. For example, if a child sees a character in the move always tells his mother the truth even if the character makes a big mistake, he will probably imitate this behavior. Admittedly, a movie that has real life meaning benefits the child.

To sum up, the issue that is a complex and controversial one. But based on all the reasons I listed above, it is apparently to draw a conclusion that only seeing movies that have real life meaning has kinds of limitations and various sorts of movies are worth watching.

20100130NADo you agree that the government should support the scientific research even there’s no practical use?.

With the rapid development in modern society, no time in the history than today has ever focused on scientific research. Some people might be right to think that it is important to support unpractical scientific research. However, I hold that if the government assists in scientific research that do not have practical use, its disadvantages certainly outweigh its merits since it wastes resource and creates pollution.

First, resource stands a more pivotal role than ever before since less and less resource is available to us. As we all know that unlike other kinds of research such as business research, scientific research does have to do tremendous experiments to test and we should use money, plants, and animals in this process. But if there is no practical use to conduct, why do we pay so much cost to do it? A recent survey conducted by a university in United States, covering more than 100 scientists, indicates that in spite of rubbish, unpractical use research contributes nothing to the society.  Thus taking waste of resource into consideration, I reinforce my standpoint.

Second, pollution follows with the disadvantage--resource waste, which we cannot ignore. With worse and worse environment, we should do our best to limit the possible pollution. When scientists do researches, especially chemical and biological researches, to examine features of what they study, it comes with usage of large number of substance. But if it turns out have no practical use, the resource involved can be seen as pollution to the environment. A professor Sophia in Peking University, one of the greatest universities in science, once said that among 500 cases, more than 300 researches ensue with serious environment pollution such as deteriorated soil and contaminated water. We can see it is rare and life abounds with such examples. Only if the fund provided by government is forbidden, this kind of research can bring less harm to the society.

In conclusion, the issue whether it is necessary to support scientific research that is no practical use by the government is a complex and controversial one. But based on the above reasons I listed, it is apparently to draw a conclusion that there is no use to assist that kind of research.

No time in the history than today has ever focused on manners. I remember Confucius said that it is important for a person to have a good manner. Thus some people might be right to think that people should never be impolite to others. However, I assert that we should provide people an access to relieve the pressure and protect themselves when they are offended and it is arbitrary to contend we should never be impolite.

First, relax stands a more pivotal role than ever before especially for young adults since with the rapid development in modern society, people are exposed to too many information and have more stress than ever before. It is necessary for them to seek a way to pour their anger or anxiety. When a person expresses his anger or sadness, it may seem as he is impolite or rude. But relaxing and relieving the pressure can help a person not only have a good mood but also live in a happier life. A professor--Sophia in Peking University, one of the best universities in psychology once said that it benefits one’s life and health when he express his feelings rather than hid them. Thus we cannot regulate that a person should always be polite.

Another reason I want to convey is that people should not keep silence when they are offended. We may witness a group of people who are too polite to protect themselves. Life abounds with such examples. My brother, for instance, who is always polite, doesn’t show his rudeness all the time, even if others attack him. My neighbors always appraise him, his teachers always reward “ a courteous model” to him and his classmates say good to him. But does he live in a happy life? The answer is no. Though he can keep polite when other attack him, he feels very nervous and in the long run this behavior let him become depressed.

Although I have tremendous reasons to insist on my opinion, I cannot ignore the importance of politeness. Being polite can help a person to achieve a greater success and gain respect of others. Admittedly, a good manner has many merits. But it cannot outweigh the necessary of expressing emotion. Thus I reinforce my standpoint that it is not necessary to be polite all the time.

In conclusion, the issue whether someone should never be impolite to others is a complex and controversial one. But based on the reasons I listed above, it is apparently to draw a conclusion that we can sometimes express our true feelings even if it seems rude.

10月20日 20091031NA It is often not a good thing to move to a new  city or a new country because of the lose of old friends?

With the rapid development in modern society and the trend of globalization, people are exposed to so many information and they can’t satisfy the recent situation. Thus no time in the history than today has ever focused on mobilization. Some people might be right to hold that moving to a new city or a new country harms our relationship between old friends. However, I assert that those advantages of going to a new place can outweigh those shortcomings and we can contact with old friends by advanced machine and make more friends in a new place.

First, old friends absolutely are not missed because of the use of telephone, e-mail and other method. Friendship stands a more pivotal role than ever before especially for young adults since we depend on relationship to do business and to share happiness and sadness in the life. If we move to another city, it seems that we will lose these old friends. But is it true? The answer is certainly no. With the development of technology, we can have easy access to get in touch with our old friends no matter where we are.

Another reason I try to convey is that we can also make much more friends with those who have the same interesting with us. Feeling the different culture between us and sharing the different customs will add more fun and color to our life. Life abounds with such examples. My friend, Jenny, who is an American girl, is one of my best friends. We have an opportunity to meet each other when our family move to another city—California .We talk, laugh and discuss with each other at the first time we meet, which is a foundation of our future relationship. Then we often share our interesting stories and I practice my oral English with her, which turns out help me make a big progress. This case gives a better understanding that it is a wise decision to move to a new country.

Although moving to a new place has its seemingly profound advantages, we cannot ignore merits of staying all the time in one place. For instance, people will be familiar with the environment and master the situation in this one city better than others. But these advantages cannot outweigh the merits of shifting to a new country and I therefore reinforce my standpoint.

In conclusion, the issue whether it is good to move to a new place is a controversial and complex one. But based on the reasons I listed above, it is apparently to draw a conclusion that it has tremendous advantage to a new place.
