谈一谈自己觉得OG中“水颇深”的话～～

今天真是决定开始研究OG～～突然发现OG中很多话看似随意，但水颇深啊！于是开此一帖～来贴一下自己的见解，算是自己的一个“读书总结”
初来乍到～如有错误～请尽情指出

第一章

1）Because the TOEFL iBT is designed to assess the actual skills you will need to be successful in your studies, the very best way to develop the skills being measured on the TOEFL iBT test is to study in an English program that focuses on:
communication using all four skills, especially speaking
integrated skills (i.e., listening/reading/speaking, listening/reading/writing)

这一段话表明：在托福考试中，口语基本上算是最看重的技能，我记得后面的一些部分也提到了以前的托福考试比较focus on语法之类的部分，而忽略了communicate的重要性。后来教授们和ets都意识到了communicate在international学生的求学历程中是非常重要的，于是toefl就改革了
in a word，ibt下的托福，口语算是最重要的

2) students are expected to read and understand information from textbooks and other academic materials written in English

这句话在第一章解释阅读的部分里，这一句话基本上就定性了托福的阅读考题——大学等级的教科书或者是学术材料～～当然，肯定是用英文写的。所以不会出现如娱乐新闻之类的阅读题

3）All passages are classified into three basic categories:
exposition —— Material that provides an explanation of a topic 简称：说明文
argumentation —— Material that presents a point of view about a topic and provides evidence to support it 简称：论证文
historical 这个很简单啦～历史性的文章

这段话说明，所有toefl里的阅读，都会限定在这三种类别里，所以其实在阅读的过程中如果能区分这三种类别，会对ets出的一些题目类型大概会有个了解，心里有个底

4) Common organization types that you should be able to recognize are:
classification 分类
compare/contrast 对比
cause/effect 原因，影响
problem/solution 问题，解决

这一段说的是文章的结构分类。同样，托福的所有阅读只会局限在以上的分类中。
