In history, we human beings never stop facing challenges and solving those problems through our mentality and advancement是和那个成分并列的呢？ of the society as a whole. Especially in recent one hundred years, levels of science and technologies have soared to the extent that our ancestors cannot imagine. However, today we are still encountering many really tough but nontrivial这个词虽然是挺高级的 但是我觉得用在这不是特别恰当 problems today（去掉） and cannot find a hint to solve them completely.
Far advanced as today's technologies are, no one dares to say that humans have solved all problems that have puzzled or tortured us for a long time. In respect of medicine and health, finding out a method to cure AIDS, which is a severe contagious disease, is the prime and seemingly the most difficult task for scientists and doctors today. Other deadly but rife diseases like diabetes and cancers cannot be fully settled, either. So actually, people in this modern world are still really vulnerable.（在这段论证里你只说了人类面临问题，但没有向读者说明这些问题能不能在有生之年里解决，） In the field of energy, people are still striving for finding a new form of resource that is not only abundant but also useable. Nuclear energy, wind energy and solar energy are all great alternatives in theory, but how to put them into use at换成 in large is still a worldwide problem. There Those unsolved but important problems may be conquered quickly, say next year, or unfortunately, 100 years later. No one is confident about when to solve these this problems, so we should not be too optimistic.
Compared to the difficult problems in intelligent area, many other important problems involving human traits, society and history are far too tricky to be entirely solved in the foreseeable future. We all know that humans, like any other animals, are innate selfish and never satisfied, and all kinds of resources are never ample. Thus, conflictions among people will never end. War is one serious form of the conflictions. At least for me, I do not think wars, no matter locally or in global, cannot be avoided even though people today have learned a huge sum of lessons from previous wars, because,（去掉） humans cannot solve the（去掉） two basic issues: human’s traits and limited resources. In this sense, we cannot eliminate war at all. People are not able to solve many other crucial social problems such as racial discriminations, religious conflictions（去掉s） and inequity among citizens as well. Although I do believe that those social problems can be solved one day, if at all, it must be a very chronic process and needs persistence and efforts of several generations.
In sum, there are still many important issues that cannot be solved now in mental area and social area, we cannot be confident to（换成 of） assert（改成ing） that the most important problems in today's world will be solved in our lifetime.
