TOPIC: some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with?
Answer:
Along with the rapid development of society, we are living in a period called information age. No invention has received more praise and abuse than (the) Internet. Some people complain that they are suffering a huge amount of messages which makes them exhausted everyday. However, in view of this little problem, I believe that the advantages of (the) Internet far outweigh its disadvantages and it will still play essential roles in modern society. The reasons are stated as follows.
Firstly, as we all known, we can complete our task efficiently by using (the) Internet which provides plenty of useful information in relevant fields. We are able to attain the guidelines and the solutions by just clicking our mice of computers. What a fantastic technique it is to sharp our time in looking for references and so on! Take me (myself) as an example, when I am required to hand in the assignments in special (specific) subjects, I usually turn on my lap-top immediately and scan several webs to get my information to fulfill the paper. Meanwhile, in the process of completing a project, I not only make sure my high quality of assignments, but have learned a lot of background and cut-edged knowledge in this field by surfing Internet as well. I can not imagine how difficult it is to look for relevant materials in many books step by step in library.
Furthermore, an increasing deal of information on the Internet is becoming to be shared with others freely and quickly. This change leads citizens to have the ability to connect with their friends more frequently. For example, last year, I caught a message on the FaceBook that one of my best friends wanted to know whether someone had the plan to go to Tibet with him together. I was very excited because this place where I had dreamed to go for in a long time. So I got connected with him in time, then as a consequence, we had a fun time in enjoying and visiting Tibet. In retrospect, I am very grateful that I had participated in my friend’s plan to go to Tibet.
Admittedly, some people pinpoint that modern people are failing into the marsh of overweighted information. In contrast, I want to point out that it is not the essential for this problem. In fact, this phenomenon often reveals on those who lack of independent thinking ability to clarify the useful information. The persons who possess the ability can avoid unnecessary information wisely and choose out the more efficient materials among the pool of information. Thus, clearly, the information is just a tool for them to realize the goals.
To sum up, I maintain that if we are the person who can clarify the difference between the useful information and others, we will be able to achieve our tasks as soon as possible with the aid of (the) Internet and have fun in chatting with our friends on the communicational webs, even making consensuses to have some wonderful plans to come true.
