Kasino are a rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, who have been compared to Radiohead, REM, Sugar, Travis, Coldplay and U2 - although their debut album sounds like "the missing link between Husker Du and S Club 7", if singer Gary is to be believed (reviews have suggested Sugar, Bob Mould, Durutti Column and - ahem - Del Amitri and the Mock Turtles. Aieee!). The band have shared stages with Mansun, Eugene Speed, Cosmic Rough Riders, Miles Hunt (ex-wonderstuff), Dave Sharp (ex-alarm), Snowpony and assorted other ne'er-do-wells and ruffians. They've also appeared on various TV and radio shows. If you get them drunk enough, they'll admit to influences including The 4 of Us, A-Ha, Five Star, Crowded House and God knows what else.
