Even though the premise is true that the points they present are part of opinions of their group, it is difficult to indicate all. Sometimes the media’s method can even produce many deleterious influences to humanities.

There are some reasons why medias or organizations are prone to choose few delegates to state opinions about some social problem. One affair is usually related with a lot of persons, even though proclivities of several aspects of one affair are divergent, there are still some common desires. Since it is almost impossible to learn about the question from all related persons, abstracting delegates from the whole is a necessary and high-efficient way to do it. For another reason, meticulous report needs too much expense because all minutiae have to be covered, while some results may be deteriorative to the party financially related with the media. Under this situation, if by choosing a few person who are delegates of the affair and at the same time are proponents of the political party, it both is a economical way to publicize the event and has positive effects for the party and their own financial basis.

One of the main benefits of this method is that medias can greatly reduce the cost of report. The less the persons will be covered, the less reporters will be involved, and subsequently, the less the transportation fee and lodging fee, the less frequent the use of relevant facilities. Another benefit of it is that it make populace learn the fact immediately no matter the occurrence is completely clear or just a summarization by covering the few immediate participants on locale. If media’s reporting the event occurring several days ago after completing the exhaust investigation from police, court room, to felons or others, people would have lost great interests on it because current people difficultly have effect on past events by expressing their own understanding.

For example, one department leader of a company conscientiously reports but weakens employers’ grumble to the manager for the scruple of his profit loss or demotion for the manager’s displeasure; The diversification of thinking coming from multitudes decide that many a specific view will be overlooked if medias or organizations consult only a few from the entire group, especially for significant and complicated problems, even though common desires far fewer than divergences exist.

The negative effects of this action include that not only it prevent multitudes from fully understand the events but also it enfeeble the ethos’ healthy development of the entire society. When medias randomly choose individuals from every aspect of one event who don’t precisely express the main points of their own groups for some reasons, reporters fail to make a clear coverage about that. Consequently, populace can’t clearly understand it and express objective views. Whether the final judgment or resolution is reasonable or not can’t be overlooked impartially by populace. If the result has some proclivities to one group and in fact has led to detriment to another group without any punishment, social ethos will gradually be damaged with time going by.

To sum up, when remembering the conveniences for medias or other social institutes of choosing few people to speak for a large group, we should recognize that the negative effects it brings about is more essential and deep and wider than merits for the healthy development of the entire human society.

按我对这个题目的理解，你的一段的基调就定的有些偏了。题目中关键词是mistakenly expect.我觉得mistakenly是一种无意的错误，而不是一种主观故意的“阴谋”似的东西。看你的意思好像是再说媒体和一些组织故意利用少数人达到他们不可告人的目的。
