In any society, whether the modern one or ancient one, responsibility is regarded as a necessary characteristic among the entire natures belonging to one person. The statement mentioned above puts a question concerning responsibility of corporate executives in front of us, whether they should be responsible for their companies or more items. In my opinion, though it is widely accepted by most people that corporate executives should make as much money as possible for their companies under the control of law, corporate executives, as one member of the whole society, should be responsible for the present problems and the future of the society.

Admittedly, it is easily accepted that corporate executives should be responsible for their companies in the terms of moral and legal items. It is solid fact that any members in one company would benefit from the corporation, which is one whole and is made up of its whole employees and executives of all levels, and reasonably, they should be responsible for their company in various interests. If they would not like to do so, it means that they, to some extent, have betrayed their corporation and should be put out from their companies, more seriously, if they set out their secret information to other groups, they would be punished by the lawmen according to the relevant laws. Therefore, responsible to one's corporation has been regarded as the fundamental principle when they do their business.

However, only responsible for their companies would make them ignore some dreadful negative effects resulting from their behavior. As all of us know, due to the mistreatment on the balance between the local interests and the nation interests or global interests, some disastrous environmental problems, such as the air pollution, the leakage of nuclear material, the desertification in some area, the heavy wateroff, and so forth, abound in the most corner in this unfortunate planet and give great threaten to the whole planet and everyone in this planet, though they might have not been influenced seriously enough to pay attention to them. As a matter of fact, these environmental problems result from the individual corporations when they only pay their attention to the profits they will acquire. From this point, corporate executives might be responsible to their company, yet at the expense of deterioration of the whole environment.

Furthermore, only responsible for their corporation would make them be blind to the future of the entire society, in which all corporation would share their sources and disasters. Besides the environmental problems mentioned earlier, other problem concerning our daily life, such as the  forgoing shortage on fossil energy, population overload, lack of freshwater resource, which have a common characteristic - occurring in the future, would make enormous pain to our offspring, though we have enjoyed from the achievement of ourselves and our ancestors. Paying their attention to something other from their companies, such as the discoveries concerning other styles of energy, economization on their freshwater, as well as new technique on formation of fresh water might solve the problem properly.


In conclusion, I strongly propose that corporate executives should not only responsible for their companies, but also for the entire society as the consideration of their present life and the situation of our offspring.
