Research Assistant (RA) openings at WSU
Several RA positions for Master degree in Mechanical Engineering are available for Fall 2013 in Dr. Feng Zhao’s “Micro/Nanoelectronics and Energy” group at Washington State University at Vancouver, WA, http://directory.vancouver.wsu.edu/people/feng-zhao. An earned B.S. or Master degree in EE, ME, or Physics is required.
Dr. Zhao’s research interests mainly focus on design, modeling, fabrication, and characterization of Wide BandGap semiconductor (SiC, GaN) devices and MEMS/NEMS. Students will gain hands-on experience by working in the Class-100 cleanroom with device fabrication and characterization equipments.
WSU Vancouver is located 15 miles north of Portland, Oregon in United States. Portland is a modern city with historic old town, galleries and museums, Saturday market, lush green parks, theatre companies, Chinese supermarkets and restaurants, and is only a short distance from Willamette valley wineries, skiing at Timberline Lodge, hiking trails and spectacular Oregon ocean beaches. The metro area of Portland is home to more than 1,200 technology companies, including Intel, IBM, Triquint, HP, Sharp, Longitech, Wafertech, Maxim, On Semiconductor, Lattice Semiconductor, Linear Technology, etc. This high density of technology companies has led to the nickname “Silicon Forest” being used to describe the Vancouver/Portland area, and provides great job opportunities for local students.
Interested applicants can send your resume to Dr. Feng Zhao at feng.zhao@wsu.edu in response to this advertisement. |
