There is no doubt that to build a large factory near my community will arouse a public controversy among the residents who live here. Since it is unwise to make a decision indiscriminately, we must take both of the advantages and disadvantages into account.

To bring more job opportunities and to increase the financial income are the most important advantages of building a large factory near the community. If a large factory will be built near the community, definitely, it will establish a giant job market in a variety of fields and offers many job opportunities to the residents living in vicinities. Accompanying with these thrive, other commercial activities also can prosper in this community, as a result, which can bring more taxes to the local government for promoting living conditions in this community. The profits of these interlocking reactions may make many people agree with the plan to build this factory.

But let us hurl our sights onto the disadvantages of this matter as well. After having built such a large factory, the request of the traffic will absolutely rocket, which will cause congestion, bring hustle and bustle to the community and disturb the quiet rhythm of former everyday life. Another disadvantage is that the factory may discharge toxic substances in order to operate its business lucratively, which will do irreversible harm to the habitants near the plants. And the third disadvantage of carrying on this project is that the lots for people to enjoy the outdoor activities will decrease somewhat. A factory does not mean only a factory, since many facilities have to be built as ancillary buildings to serve the main factory. And these facilities lead to a result of occupying the local lots.

In conclusion, after comparing the main advantages and disadvantages, we can easily see that the disadvantages overwhelmingly eclipse the advantages, so as far as I am concerned, I oppose to this plan of building a large factory near my community, simply because I want to retain my life in peace.
