well, i think it is quite funny because i do indeed have a dog and i have been with her for nearly 3 years. besides, i have kept a lot of animals as well. maybe by nature i just a little child and cannto grow up, i like those lovely and even naive things or creatures( i do not regard a dog as a naive creature) and i think sometimes even your lover will leave you, but, never  so does your dog

A: Pandora's Box, Pygmalion, Prometheus and... Of course there are some Chinese ones, I just don't know how to say them in English. (And it makes me realize how realistic I've become now because I no longer feel any remance from those names. sign)

English: the God father

Chinese: ordinary story(I wonder it is named this way)

For the English one, I read it when I just started my senior high. It's hard to explain why it fascinated me so much that I finished it in a day without doing anything else. If there is something left in my mind, I would say the story sounded real and moving. As a young boy at that age, it is more likely to enjoy such kind of revenge story, isn't it? :D

I think most of us have read the Ordinary Story. I would say a book like this will never lost its value in education for young people. I learn to treasure everything I have and I realize how much I get and where I should go.

I like The Godfather too. It is full of wisdom, courage and sense of love and responsibility, and it illustrates a real and even crucial world. I was moved when I read it. Maybe I will read it again when I have time.

Incidentally, I just didn't read the Chinese one you mention. I started it and went through less than 100 pages and gave up, partly because some interruption, partly because it was so depressing. It made me remember how bitter the life may be.

Generally speaking, I prefer relaxing ones.
