The family of the 11-year-old Carlie Brucia show their hearts breaking, indeed getting word that their daughter’s body was found around 1 o’clock eastern time this morning, apparently found near church, maybe just 2 or 3 miles from where we are at right now. There’ve been a couple of press conferences this morning, one right around 7:10, the other went at 10:10, both eastern times obviously. At this press conference we did hear from the sheriff of you men but in the name of Bill Ballkwill. I’ve spoken with the sheriff of yesterday of H a bit and he’s told us he knows hopes in Paris are really all they’ve got right now. they were counting on their prime suspect Joseph P. Smith. He is a 37-year-old man, a father of 3 as we understand. We should put a mud shot of this guy up on the camera right now. again he is a 37-year-father of 3 guy. He has a pretty long of criminal record as we understand, he’s been arrested at least a half of dozen times on a variety of charges. And what we’ve heard early this morning, we heard from also the father of Carlie, a man by the name of Joe Brucia. He got up there, spoke briefly and quickly and said basically I just wanna thank everyone for coming out here and helping us try to find our daughter. At the 8:10 press conference we heard from special agent Carl Whitehead. He heads up their attempt of * daughter for the FBI. He got up there and spoke briefly as well. Let’s take a listen to what the agent Whitehead had to say.

I’m especially proud of the agents that work talent hand with the detectives around the clock to locate Carlie. We’ll continue this effort to process the evidence to ensure that Mr. Smith is successfully prosecuted for this surrender’s crime.

Ok, let’s do this. I’ll show you some of this surveillance video. This is the video that was taken form the carwash * Sarasota taken Sunday afternoon. She disappeared right around 6:20. the tape * that. It was installed at * carwash S Sarasota because the owner said he was tired of people coming in here and breaking into the vehicles that were here to carwash. On the tape you see Carlie she was on the way home from a slumber party. It was Sunday afternoon. She was on the way home, was trying to take a shortcut through this parking lot. At that point police say they believe it was indeed Joseph P. Smith who works in the frame. P says something to Carlie, she turns back, briefly, just a bit. P at that point reaches down grabs her by the wrist, not by the hand. Or also here in the force he may have had some sort of gun, may have shown it to when a bad * start walking to, away from that carwash.

Back out here live now. we understand that right around 11 o’clock eastern time there will be another, many press briefing if you *. At the F we are told, is at the site now where Carlie’s body remains. They are continuing to do their work. Sheriff Balkwill said to employ to that * that the crime scene remain protected. And we understand there is a 5-mile, no-fly * surround that scene.
