Competition for high grades seriously limits the quality of learning at all levels of education.
The speaker asserts that competition for high grades seriously limits the quality of learning at all levels of education. As far as I am concerned, I partly agree with this statement, for competition is inevitable to some extent.

I concede that competition forces students to focus their attention on their lessons to get higher score, and keep them from other activities on the campus and the news from all over the world, which greatly undermine their creativity and originality. More and more students have access to  universities, which added to the severity of the competition today. Although there are different kinds of activities suitable on the campus for college students and the news is more accessible through internet, many students choose to study in the classroom all day rather than to attend these lively activities or to search for certain kinds of news. Just look around. If everyone around you are competing for a higher score, what will you feel if you are not with them but to participate in these "useless" activities?

Although competition has negative effects under some cases, competition for high grades contributes much to the accumulation and consolidation of the knowledge of the students. No other way can serve equally as competition to stimulate students to work harder and harder, which naturally lead to mastery of more knowledge. As you know, almost everyone has a instinct to be free,  or to be lazy. If there is nothing to encourage us to work hard, hardly anyone can concentrate on the studying and learn more during just a short time at school. Competition also help a student to review his or her lessons before an exam, which may help him or her to remember the facts or spirits of the lessons during the rest of life.

Furthermore, score is the only effective way nowadays to check a student's performance. Hardly any means else can achieve the same purpose. Exams are equal for anyone. Who learns harder gets harder grades, which is cherished by the society and the students. Because of its standalization, it is safe to imagine a student's performance and to praise or punish him or her according to his or her score. Though not always the correct way, it is just the fact under most circumstances. Once a student went to work one day, many good students who had study hard at school will find it easier to get more chances and  bettered confronted with the difficulties ahead, as they had well accumulated the indispensible knowledge at school through the competition for high grades.

In summary, competition for high grades is the only effective way to help students review his or her lessons, and to detemine his or her performance. If the negative effects of the competition can be limited through encouraging students to attend more activities and to pay attention to the great events around them and all over the world, competition itself surely does not seriously conflict with the qualities of learning, but to increase it.

Competition for high grades seriously limits the quality of learning at all levels of education.

The speaker asserts that competition for high grades seriously limits the quality of learning at all levels of education. As far as I am concerned, I partly agree with 同意观点是用with吗?好像是agree with sb. this statement, for competition is inevitable to some extent.

If everyone around you are is competing for a higher score, what will you feel if you are not with them but to participate in these "useless" activities?

Although competition has negative effects under some cases, competition for high grades contributes much to the accumulation and consolidation of the knowledge of the students. No other way can serve equally as competition to stimulate students to work harder and harder, which naturally lead leads to mastery of more knowledge. As you know, almost everyone has a an instinct to be free, or to be lazy. If there is nothing to encourage us to work hard, hardly anyone can concentrate on the studying and learn more during just a short time at school. Competition also help compels a student to review his or her lessons before an exam, which may help him or her to remember the facts or spirits of the lessons during the rest of life.

Furthermore, score is the only effective way nowadays to check a student's performance only way? Hardly any means else can achieve the same purpose. Exams are equal for anyone. Who learns harder gets harder higher? grades, which is cherished by the society and the students.

1、I partly agree with this statement---------“同意观点是用with吗?好像是agree with sb. ”
确实有agree with sb,但据我所知,也有agree with this opinion/suggestion/statement/what you said,表示同意某种说法
2、If everyone around you are is competing for a higher score, what will you feel if you are not with them but to participate in these "useless" activities?
With everyone around you competing for a higher score, what will you feel if you are not learning like them but to participate in these "useless" activities?
3、score is the only effective way nowadays to check a student's performance -----only way?
是啊,改成这样吧:score is one of the most effective ways nowadays to check a student's performance.
If the negative effects of the competition can be limited through encouraging students to attend more activities and to pay attention to the great events around them and all over the world, .....
I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky!
