Society advocates creativity and originality while conformity becomes a resistant force against them. I agree with the speaker's contention that conformity leads to a deadening of individual creativity and energy, especially in the academic and professional fields. Nevertheless, the significance of conformity reflects in the field of law, which keeps the society in a well order.

Conformity stifles the creative thinking and discourages trying. People who are prone to conform to the well-traveled routes can hardly achieve new things because by implementing old methods and following old ideas, the results are predictably more or less the same. New achievements and developments are combined with diversity and unconformity. Discourses between people with different ideas and opinions can stimulate more original new thoughts while talking with the people who share similar ideas can only make the ideas more deeply rooted and harder to change. Whenever distinct thoughts and measures appear, there is a sign that people can improve by finding out which one is better and more desirable, and accordingly make progress.

Many innovations and discoveries are attributed to the unconformity to the experience and authorities. There are many telling examples. The most famous one involves the theory of relativity which challenged authoritative Newton's classical physical principles and perfected by Einstein. Another example is about Ramsay, who is a British chemist that discovered Helium and won the Noble Prize in chemistry in 1904. The new discovery contributed to Ramsay's unconformity to the judgment of previous chemists. When previous chemists insisted that the slight discrepancy in assaying the compounds of air resulted from the unavoidable errors of experimental device, Ramsay thought it might be caused by another undiscovered new element. Therefore, unconformity is a very characteristic for people involved in academic research and their professional fields. People can make many developments and achievements in many places; what matters is how to find where needs developing, in which unconformity can provide people more chances.

However, people should also be aware of the significance of conformity to law; or they would be wrongheaded. People should strictly conform to the well-established laws of the government. Laws are not what people can develop their creativity since individual creativity and energy in this field is no more than disobeying laws, which would cause tremendous problems to the society. Society has its fundamental rules and regulations which ensure that people are learning and working safely and freely; unconformity to these rules and regulations is not a reflection of creativity but making troubles and evils.

To conclude, unconformity attributes the individual creativity and energy because difference provides more choices and offers new routes which may lead to advancement. Nonetheless, unconformity to laws and regulations established by government is not advocated since it leads to the disorder of the society.

首先，我觉得此题是讨论comformity对creativity and energy的影响，根本不应该讨论law 的问题。
第二段完全在说理，而没有具体的例子或其它来证明，读起来感觉不是很好（应该有很多例子和名言之类可以用的，我记得歌德有一句说：“We often prefer the ideas we are in favor of; however, it's the idea we are opposed to that can improve our thoughts."记得不是很清楚了，下次查了给你吧）
第三段则例子太多了，与第二段要平衡一下。

while的意思，我查了一下，的确有“然而”的意思。

关于nonconformity 和 unconformity我想是不是都可以呢？因为这两个字都是有的，有什么区别么？或者前者用得更加多一点呢？

这是我刚刚写的关于第三段conformity and individual creativity 的关系。

Actually, conformity and individual creativities is an interactive process. When individual creativities and innovations first come forth, people begin to doubt and are prone to reject. After a certain period, people have cognized the new ideas, and if they are advanced and desirable, people start to accept them and come to conformity when the ideas are entirely accepted. But the newly formed conformity would soon or later be broken by other individual creativities and energy. This is how human make progress. In an open society, individual creativities are highly appreciated and people are less conforming to expected behavior pattern and less respecting a hierarchical structure; in this case, authority and hierarchy become less important, in the meantime individual contribution and individual intellect are more valued. In this kind of social structure, the shifting time between conformity and unconformity resulted from individual creativity becomes shorter.

还有你改的两个地方刚才漏了，我不是很明白：
1. well adj. 有健康，良好的意思，good我感觉不是特别顺。
2. 什么叫the omitted? 我不太明白，第二段开头。
3. distinct 我的原意是说截然不同的，要是有word choice的问题，那么用什么好的说？

Begin the topic from economic phenomena like speculators. Those risky investment are always applied neglecting conformity.

2. IT bubble - traditional industry
IT industry attract more attention in the late 20th century, while finally become a bubble. Investors are now in favor of the traditional industry. It is conformity.

3. follow the whole trend - similarity
Looking back from the history, people should follow the trend in order to survive. Human also prefer the method of similarity to understand new subjects.

4. cooperation work - consultance
Conformity is necessary in the cooperation work, however in the individual work on the contrary.

Experts just give the consultance based on the past experience. Conformity is credible sometimes.

Sorry to interrupt your discussion. Reading the original issue and its comments, i have learnt a lot.
there is a flaw in ben's hints. the spelling of the word "conformity". plase pay attention.
The fouth paragraph's modification is perfect. The ETS will certainly consider you as a philosopher:)
one of the hints given by Ben which is about IT can be considered as the support of conformity. Because of the conformity, regularize the IT market, every profit is reasonable, and the monopoly is far away from the market.
