214. 社会应该找出那些具有特殊天才和特殊能力的孩子,并在他们小时候就训练他们,这样他们最终就能超越他们的同龄人。否则他们的特殊的潜能和可能就被浪费掉。




The future of our society depends on children, our next-coming generation.  It is the society's duty to socialize them with education. It is well known that the fundamental objective of modern education is to give students the ability of "critical thinking" -- that is, in short, the ability to make their own judgment logically.  It is not the task of social educational system's duty to support special cares to the child who is considered to have "special talents or abilities".

On the one hand, with finite social economical resources, the main purpose of educational investment is to educate and then socialize children, the more the better, not to train a few "genius" instead.  At present time, many children are unable to get enough education due to many reasons.  In many nations of Central Africa, the local governments are even unable to establish a local school for their younger citizens.  In that case, many children are not educated or socialized in these areas, which may be a potential problem that harms the cultures and societies in Central African countries for many years.  Under these circumstances, it is proved to be unwise to spend money on "genius-education".

On the other hand, It is unfair to allocate much more money for a certain child only because she or he is considered to be a "genius" by the adults.  As the proverb goes, "Individual born to be equal", every child in our social educational system has equal rights to develop their talents and abilities without pressure or force from the adults' world.  If the educators have the rights to decide which child would be better and then support the child with additional care, it may be harmful to either the chosen one or the other children.  The chosen one may be forced to learn some courses unwillingly, and the other children may feel unfair.  Since many individual with special talents were once considered to be "common" in their childhood, so whether a certain child has any special talents may not easily be discovered until she or he grows older.

However, if an individual truly have special talents or abilities, she or he may possibly show interests to the special field that she or he has the talents on, even if no any other social or educational care is supported.  Once an admired German educator said, "True genius may never been covered all the time.  Instead, he would show his gifted talents sooner or later."  If the chosen child really has special talents or abilities, it would be wiser to support her or his development when the certain individual grows older.  After all, our money is limited, but the true talent may never be disappeared.

In conclusion, the social educational system should pay attention to educate and then socialize more children, instead of make efforts on several "genius children".  Since the main objective of education is to socialize more and more younger citizens and give them the ability to make their own judgment, the educator should leave children for a free-development of their own talents and abilities.  In that case, the society will achieve its goal on the long run.

写得不错, 我比较欣赏这篇文章!
提如下几点建议
1。你不要老是提到money,教育资源不是仅仅只包含money呀,这体现了你思维的局限性
2。第一段论述不是很好,因为题目只是问到底该还是不该发现有天赋的人并培养他们,
并没有说不注重大众的教育,而且题目也没有说这个是main purpose,故与你论证的在本质
上是没有矛盾的。
