Prof. Hefu Pu at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Formerly University of Missouri - Rolla) is looking for two motivated Ph.D. students in Civil Engineering (emphasis on Geotechnical and/or Geoenvironmental Engineering). Starting in Spring semester 2015 is preferred, but Summer 2015 or Fall 2015 will also be considered. Financial support will be provided.

Solid background in geotechnical and/or geoenvironmental engineering (especially soil mechanics) and experience in programming and numerical simulation OR experience in geotechnical laboratory experiments are desired.  A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely-related major (e.g., Geology, Geoscience, Geotechnical Engineering, etc.) is required and a Master’s degree in Geo-related Engineering is preferred.
