Prof. Qingyang Wang in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Louisiana State

University, is hiring two Ph. D. students with research assistantship (RA) starting from fall 2015.

Dr. Wang’s research is in distributed systems, cloud computing, and big data. Specifically, Dr. Wang is

trying to build large-scale web applications (e.g., taobao.com) running in cloud computing environments

with the goal of achieving both low latency and high resource utilization.

Qualified candidates are expected to meet the following conditions:

1. Highly self-motivated,

2. Strong programming experience in Java, C/C++,

3. Comfortable with Linux environment ,

4. Good mathematical background,

5. Experience of web application development is a plus but not required.

Interested students with expected master's or bachelor's degree should send their detailed CV, all
