这个时间写这个帖子,对大多数12Fall的同学而言可能是没什么用了,但还是写点什么吧。
心路历程版(需要资料的同学跳过,纯属乱发感慨)

     1.第一次纯裸考,口语三个fair,作文一个good,一个fair。TPO没做,OG没看,做了一点蓝Delta熟悉题型,口语做了几套口语真经,也是熟悉了题型。可能是纯看觉得题目比较简单吧,反正就是自信心极度膨胀的上了。事实证明,是不能那么狂妄的。
     2.第二次吸取教训,口语还是三个fair, 作文两个good。那个时候已经拿到NECCS的特等奖了,那个时候GRE的作文也有4分了,总觉得第一次只是失误。但还是慎重的从实验室请了假,回家全心复习。TPO听力限时加考场干扰做一遍,然后对答案,然后不看文本听几遍,实在不懂了看文本听一遍,再不看文本听几遍。阅读限时做一遍,单词查了看一遍,再把每个题从头到尾看一遍看考点是什么。这样折腾,质还是有的。但直到考前也只做了6套完整的听力,3套阅读。口语没时间了,这次没复习。独立作文我把GRE的一些作文资料背了些,考试的时候大概写了360吧。我觉得写的挺好的,也留时间检查了,应该没啥错,论点还有连接词也注意了,但也只有25。值得一提的是,那个时候一边听听力,一边看新闻上校内挂QQ。然后一边看阅读,一边放着视频。。但是,每天还是保证做了一些题的。暑假在家,其实还是很容易堕落的。到考试前一天晚上,我又跟第一次一样,一夜没睡的复习,第二天坐车去学校,路上也在复习。我妈半夜起来几次,说,哪有你这样的。事实再次证明:1.只有质没有量是不够的(这句话适用于我这种挣扎的人,不适用大牛。。)。2.狂妄是不行的。3.不睡觉对身体是不好的。
     3.第二次出分已经是9.7了,申请的时间都不够,我也被严重的打击到,对自己考T完全不抱希望,而且非常抵触,实在是不想再考,最重要的是自己刷了十天考位,一点影都没有。倒是把市场上托福有哪些黄牛摸清楚了(ˇˍˇ)~后来找了一家黄牛,不得不感叹,各行各业都有牛人,我刷了十几天,天天用软件盯都没个谱的位子,他花四个小时就刷上了。那个时候心里很浮躁,同学又在说保研的事,我确实有点怕,自己最后没地方去。最主要的是我觉得第二次准备已经尽了自己最大的努力,复习了一个多月,再让我考一次也不会再好了。后来G电话里跟我分析,说她当时考的时候TPO整个做完了,考前又从头听了一遍;然后把一本什么书(忘了,反正很厚)做了2/3,才上了100,她说你提升的空间还是很大的,只要努力点。我说,可能我知道要努力,但是惰性太大了,我怕扭不过来。她说,她懂。然后我就想我就复习吧。别的也别想了。然后复习了大概一个月多一个星期吧。这期间零零散散看了些关于学校的帖子。后两个星期完全在复习,什么也没想。其实我觉得,简单点安静点的时候是最平静也是长进最大的时候。

考场信息版(这个在地里的考场汇总帖子里也有,现在贴过来)
三战,算是把武汉的每个考点都过了一遍。
2011.3.13 武大:一间房写那个承诺书,可以放零食卫生纸,不能放复习资料,储物柜在走廊上,九点二十吧好像就把东西锁进去了,然后是一个个排队照相,有护照的最先照。因为那天我带了护照,结果第一个进的考场,九点半不到。第一次考完全没经验,很快就进去了,后来陆陆续续有人进来,然后不断有人“describe a city you live in"。。总之就是第一篇阅读悲剧了。有两只铅笔好像,笔削的挺好的,反正纸够用,笔也够用。中间休息看不了资料

2011.8.28 武汉理工大学 写承诺书那间房的老师人很好,貌似最后还负责打扫卫生。可以放吃的和复习资料在那间房里,但是中间的时候不能看资料o(╯□╰)o~柜子在外面,用身份证换柜子钥匙~可以带水进考场,但水上的标签要撕掉~中间可以去厕所,但有个人跟着,进出还要拿那个金属的东西扫描~我阅读完了去的,不到两分钟回了,听力居然自己开始了,欲哭无泪啊~挡板很厚,基本上听不太到别人的干扰~中间休息的时候不让坐在那儿听或者写模板~值得一提的是,每个人发的是自动铅笔,比木头的好太多了。三张草稿纸,质量貌似蛮好的。

2011.10.16 华中科技大学 这个考场说好也好,说不好实在也是很坑爹。照相和考试的地方是在一个房,只有一个考场,房间很小,可能四十个左右吧。没有储物柜,东西就堆在厕所外面的桌子上,理论上中间休息是可以看机经的,这个老师没说可以,也没说不可以。进考场前会把手机装在一个信封里交上去,然后考完了再拿走。然后考试期间不能去上厕所,好在这次我也不敢了,怕听力又开始了。那个女老师很有活力,蹬蹬蹬蹬的到处跑,你不开始她会帮你点开始。中间换铅笔的时候会把休息出去的人用了的换给你~sigh~一样不好用~最让人郁闷的是只有一支铅笔,三张很小的纸,比标准的A4小一大圈。考阅读听力的时候,根本不敢换,因为他要把笔拿走然后再给你一支,我坐比较靠后,那老师来回一趟我不知道得错过多少听力了。所以最后笔写的巨粗无比,这直接导致我草稿纸上的字很宽很大,然后草稿纸不够用。。然后考前老师还说草稿纸是不能换的,用完就没有了~我郁闷~~但是中间休息的时候问了下,还是换了~因为我的三张纸已经写得满满当当,一点地方都没有了。更让人郁闷的是,我在做阅读的时候,居然能听到隔壁同学耳机里的听力,听的那叫一个清楚啊;本来前面做的很好的,第一篇完了还多几分钟,一听我就不镇定了,最后五个题只有四分钟,最后一题答案都看全了,愣是有一个选项没来得及拖过去,哭死~然后很巧的是我三次都是经典听力加试,这一次加试听到了完整的口语一二题,加试的时候我坐在那儿写模板,写完了发现草稿纸没了,口语的时候没地方记笔记了,于是换了草稿纸,然后写了一整页的模板没了~sigh

   看别的帖子说,中国学生阅读都能考28、29,我第一次裸考27,觉得这句话是对的。第二次好好研究了OG,然后做了几套题考,只有24。第三次深感伤不起,用了刘文勇的黄金阅读(见附件),这个很好,有23套TPO,13篇OG,3篇在线模拟,一篇模考软件的题目加翻译。个人觉得是做阅读的最好的资料,比在线做好,因为方便进行修改和精读还有翻译。
   我觉得我阅读题虽然能对不少,但
    1.对背景知识不熟,做对了题也不知道文章在讲什么;
    2.有的长难句,看几遍都不懂什么意思,没有按英文逻辑看句子的习惯;
    3.某些跟专业相关的词不熟,导致文章看的云里雾里
    4.最后那个选大意的题老错。
    于是我留了三套模考,其他的每一套都把相关的背景知识详细找出来,真正把文章看懂。把不熟悉的词、不熟悉的长难句、转折词的用法都用不同记号标出来。长难句的翻译留在下面。然后把做了错了的题也附在下面。
    帮助最大的是OG的那13篇,因为每一个题的几乎每一个选项官方几乎都给了解释,我觉得仔细看那几篇是有帮助用ETS的逻辑去做阅读的。在做完那13篇以后,我做阅读除了个别的词汇题,基本上是不怎么错了。
    尽管这样,前两次的经验告诉我不能狂妄。于是我老老实实把七十几篇都按这个模式做了(样板如下)。做到三十几篇的时候,其实会发现一些重复,比如说很多讲冰川的,讲Early Cinema的,讲desert的,其实感觉T的文章就那几类,做到最后几乎就是看标题,看下面几段的头句,差不多就知道这个文章结构怎样,会讲什么了。到最后我差不多都能在14min以内做完一篇,每个题的正确和错误选项都能很清楚的判断,几乎不错。考试的时候错的那一分,估计是因为做最后一篇的时候听到了隔壁耳机里清晰的听力,于是我就不淡定了,不淡定了几分钟,只好悲剧的看着最后一题的选项,然后有一个还是两个已经确定了,拖到一半还没拖到框里,时间到了。哭死...
      不得不说的是,这个方法是很笨的。对于随便考考就有28 29的同学,完全没必要花这个精力。我做它,一个是因为对有一次24分的不自信,再一个是因为我的听力一直不好,但是听力材料的背景和阅读是相通的,基本上都是高中的化学、地理什么的基础知识,但是因为我们不是用英文上这些的,所以虽然词认识,那些基本的原理也懂,但是用那些词讲那些基本的原理的时候就是不懂。看了这么些阅读,至少解决了我听力经常遇到的听到一大半了才知道他在讲什么的窘境。
     附件里的东西,有需要的同学可以用来看看增加背景知识。
     时间有限的同学就不要学我这样做了。     因为文本复制上来格式就没了,上图吧。其余的在word文档里。

听力:
听力是比较难的部分。小马的分类词汇比较好。前10套的TPO我没做题,然后听一遍,把没听懂的地方像阅读一样做了记号,包括不懂的词也查了背景知识。有一套TPO的音频,是带字幕的,也挺好的。前10套听完,我就开始重新听然后做题。这个时候基本上文章能听懂,听到出题点的时候也能反应过来。然后就把23套TPO的听力都做了,做完以后剩下没研究的文本也像阅读一样研究了一遍(文本见附件)。后来高分120和Barron做了一两套,没有完整模考。听说那个是很好的。可惜我没有来得及做完。

口语:
我口语基本上也没什么时间准备。所以分数不算高。仔仔细细听了OG答案的样本,也听了网上一些牛人的音频。听的时候觉得好像也就那样,但当某一天我把自己的录下来的时候,才发现自己以为说的很好,其实那个语音语调很怪,让人不容易找到重点。可惜后来没有时间好好练练,纠正一下。下面是官方答案的分析。总的来说,要求应该就是词汇要丰富,要有logical prgression 以便easy to understand,最好能让听者能predict what will come next.
考前临时综合了坛子上同学的资料和小马的机经写了几个段子,也在附件里。
总的来说,个人觉得口语还是需要多练,我主要练阅读和听力比较多,口语是真的松懈了,所以几次的分数没有太大的提高。
1.Choose a place you go to often that is important to you and why


A I would like to go… I often go to…France because I met a friend of mine two years ago she invited me already several times they have been there already several times for several times

     (4) logical progression that make it easy to understand逻辑进展顺利,容易理解。




B I used to go to the 。。shopping mall. Because I like shopping very much, the shopping is one of my hobby. When sth bothers me, I usually go to the shopping center, and realize my mind. If looking around the clothes and shoes and sth else, I feel better than before..though I usually go to shopping , E..and..I usually go to there because of the shopping.

回答被支撑,大体上可以理解。但有时,发音让意思难以理解。

2.Choose to take courses in a variety of subject or focus on a single subject

If you are an undergraduate student, I would rather to take wide range and wide variety of subjects and different areas because it would expand my knowledge, would improve my understanding for different topics,

On the other hand, if I’m a graduate student, I would rather to take specific courses, because if you know, when you are graduate student, you are working and dealing with specific topics and therefore you have to …

           有思想、被支持的,理由有逻辑的被陈列

3. Bus Service Elimination

What the man here saying is that he wants to keep the bus service for the better being of all the students of campus (总观点)

because there are many students cannot afford a car therefore they use free bus service even though (总原因)

The problem of the bus service right now is that the bus is going through wrong neighborhood that’s too expensive for students to live (对应理由1)

So what they should is just to change the course of the bus and that will take care of the problem (观点解决方案)

Also they should encourage more students to use the bus instead of discourage them (观点与解决方案)

Or they use the money they use for the bus service to increase the space of the parking lots for students,which will add to the noise of the campus ,and will be more congested for all the people who already parking over there (对应理由2)



积累短语: that’ll just add to the noise around campus and create more traffic.

4.Audience Effect

In this lecture, the professor give two examples toillustrate the principles of audience effects.

One of them is tying shoes. So in the experiment where two groups …to tie their shoes, The first group were said they were be observed, The other one was not told so. The first group that they knew they would be observed tied their shoes faster; and the other one slower. (运用省略)

In the second example; activities such as typing; again when people are conscious they are being observed they type faster. However, they tend to make more mistakes as well.

So the suggestion is to practice new activities alone in order to reduce mistakes

The audience definitely have effects on you for example if you know that somebody is watching you. Then you will type faster or you will tie your shoes faster but at the same time you will make more mistakes.

However, if you are not aware that somebody is watching you , looking you, then you may learn slowlier, but therefore, you can type slowlier, or but on the other hand, you can decrease the number of errors on your typing.

So the research suggest that…you can you should do

The problem is the woman got a chance to go to a field trip but on the day for the field trip, she needs to do a museum setup for another professor, so she is not available on that day.

The solutions are,first one: she could find another helper for the professor to do the setup,

The second solution is she could do the setup before Wednesday when the field started. Just do it before she go to the field.

So these two solutions are available for her and I suggest her to do the setup, to finish the setup before Wednesday when

The other solution is that he should try to finish all of the things she has to do before Wednesday because the trip stat at Wednesday.

So I think the best way is to finish try to done…

But if he drives a fruit-selling person, he can also, instead of money, accept fruit for his drive. In that case the fruit is the medium of exchange, not the money. So under the first definition,

Dollar bills and Coins are money, but also other medium of exchange, in this case for this taxi driver,

The second definition is a legal definition. The legal definition just coins and dollar bills are legal money in this definition.

作文







考试前两天遇到一个119分的牛人,他说托福很简单,他准备了一天半就上了。不过人家已经在美帝待了两年。可能还是跟语言环境有关吧。
他说,你要是时间够就往死里写,能写多少写多少。于是我还是用了G作文的资料,独立作文考试的时候写了500+,后面几段没时间检查了,应该有不少错。但有28。
所以在保证了逻辑清楚和一定词汇的基础上,写得多还是有惊喜的。

机经
台湾康老师、小马、王京竹的机经都是不错的。我考前看了小马的。
但是机经这东西,真心不能花太多时间在上面,因为总会让人有一种投机取巧的心态,我第二次考试就是这样的。
所以建议考前把口语作文看看,当做复习,但是不要对它抱太大的希望。中了固然是好的,主要还是看实力。
康老师总结的背景知识,还有橘宝书无聊的时候看看还是很好的。在附件里。09 10年北美大陆的所有机经也在附件里,不建议花太多时间在上面。

一共考过三次托福,第一次在上财基本试水;第二次今年暑假在杭州教育大厦,经过充分准备本以为可以自信回头无需再战结果虽然总分过百口语19...于是又报了11.29苏州大学在DDL前最后刷一次。今天早上刚出分103(23),刷分成功。写一下这三个考场的信息,附送口语渣的考试经验~
1.上海财经大学
这个考场TG各去过一次,在上海财大中山北一路校区,3号线赤峰路站下,下来之后沿着路(名字忘了,但就一条大路)一直朝南走几分钟,过了一座桥就是校门了,进校门之后要绕一个圈子,会经过篮球场等等....不过指示牌是很清楚的,也有保安大叔可以问,考试在三楼,楼下是食堂。特别注意:A和BC考场是从不同的楼梯上去的,BC考场要绕到那幢楼的后面从一个猥琐的小门上去A考场是直接从正面上去的。总体来说从地铁站下来到考场要走十几二十分钟,所以建议最好前一天去看一下考点,考试当天最好也提早一点出发。住宿的话,地铁站附近有一些快捷酒店,我当时住的如家,地铁站出来对面就是,蛮方便的。

考场情况:拿钥匙存包放吃的写保证不多说,老师挺nice的,考场不大,大概四十多个人,也是我考过的考场里唯一一个全场一人一座的考场,没有两个人靠一起坐的,老师也几乎不走动,所以特别怕干扰的同学可以考虑选择这个考场。铅笔是子弹头的,草稿纸正反面都写的随时更换(但是你不叫老师他不会主动来看,不强制)。也就是说可以写一些模板在草稿纸上然后放到白纸下面,一般不会被发现。休息时间可以不满,提早回去听听口语什么的,老师一般是看到你休息时间到了来给你解锁。

暑假里上海考位实在没有就去了这里,1号线坐到西湖文化广场站,出来之后沿着文晖路走走看到一幢很气派的大楼就是了,对面有个锦江之星。考点在三楼,直接电梯上去很好找。考场除了两边的座位之外都是两人挨着坐(看人品咯~),隔板很高,做题的时候肯定是看不到边上的人的,铅笔也是子弹头的,老师不凶,但是考试时经常走动,有时还会在你身后驻足观赏,对此要有心理准备...

3.苏州大学
11.29刚去考的,完成成就:考T足迹遍布江浙沪!考场非常好找,1号线相门站下往东走一段就看到校门了,进门之后眼前大楼即是考点理工实验大楼,右手边楼梯上去,AB考场在两楼,CD考场在三楼。老师很多(有些貌似是研究生),非常nice。我在D考场,考场很干净,除了最后面靠墙的一排,其余都是两排人面对面坐的,桌子类似公司里白领那种电脑桌,可以看到对面的人,但是在大家都全神贯注做题的时候影响也不大。铅笔是一支HB木头铅笔,但是老师很多,要换的话随叫随到,不用担心,在section的间隙你举手老师一定会赶过来的。在这里刷出了自己的最高分,十分愉悦~

最后对于短期内S目标在22,23左右的童鞋,给几条我自己总结的tips(大家批判接受哈!):
1.要拿到这样的分数,最最要的一点是没有错误,很多童鞋准备口语盲目追求在规定时间内说完,但是一开口说出的人称、时态都错的,-ed,-ing该加的都不加,该用名词的地方说动词,句子说得支离破碎,即使说完了内容也只能是个低于20的分数。所以,如果是几乎从来没有开口用英语跟别人交流过的童鞋(比如LZ),我的建议是先注意减少语法错误,句式尽量用简单的。

2.在减少错误的基础上,尽量提高流畅度,即减少恩恩啊啊以及停顿的时间,争取在规定的时间内说更多的内容。但注意,不要太在意有没有说完,只要在有限的时间内表现出了较强的口语能力,没说完照样是高分。

3.对于这个分数段来说,语音语调是不重要的,有口音没事,只要让人家听得懂你想说哪个词即可。当然从长期考虑或者以后想要更高的分数,语音语调是必须要提高的,LZ准备接下来也要继续努力~

4.关于机经,1,2是必须要看的,而且看得越多越好,这些都是真题,平常可以用来练思路,想段子,然后自己录音说顺。至于3,4,5,6,不建议看机经,一是题目太多不太可能详细准备,二是机经回忆可能有错,到时候反而误导,考前实在太空可以看,主要也就是扫一下点。3-6平时还是练TPO吧,练多了自然就会了,考场上那套感觉也就是一套新的TPO罢了。
