Job Title: Associate
BU: Regulatory & Governmental Affairs
Location: Shanghai

We are seeking an associate with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience to join our Regulatory & Governmental Affairs team in providing top domestic and foreign corporations operating within China compliance-related legal services.

REQUIREMENTS

Graduated from a top tier law school with a Bachelor’s degree or above;
Thorough knowledge of formulating/implementing corporate in-house compliance policies, and/or working experience with government authorities and/or experience with dispute resolution matters;
3-5 years PQE in the field of regulatory compliance or related fields;
Qualified to practice in the PRC and/or the US.

COMPETENCIES

Excellent writing and oral communication capabilities in both English and Chinese;
Strong legal research, analytical and time management skills;
Effective interpersonal abilities with a particular ability to thrive in a team-oriented working environment;
Ability to foster professional relationships with clients in order to enable them to fully appreciate regulatory changes that may affect their business;
Ability to develop detailed, tailored compliance documentation for clients;
Ability to undertake on-site compliance audits and advise clients on ad hoc compliance queries;
Ability to author/co-author firm publications on topical regulatory and compliance issues and ensure that these are updated on an ongoing basis;
Willingness to conduct efforts to promote the firm’s business objectives, culture and core values.
