本人拿的是夏季，美国一般学校（50名左右）的ee系，国内的本科，新加坡的研究生，在
新加坡工作了2年，拿了新加坡的绿卡。回北京签。

3.31那天真是冷啊，大风降温。8:10分到了门口，武警正在叫名字，大约8:50进去了，过
了3到门卡，进了大厅。在1，2号窗口叫申请表，i-20和签证费。然后领到一个粉红色的牌
子，心里很高兴，心想如果能换成粉条就好了。

排队等待取指纹，大约排了40分钟，取了指纹，再排队，等vo interview, 大约等了1个多
小时，11点半的时候被领到7号窗口。好像开了4个窗口，就这个vo头比较秃，50岁左右。
其他的都很年轻，有个mm，9号窗口是亚裔gg。不知道7号是不是传说中的大秃头。

整体形势不错，50%都pass了，不时有拿蓝条check的。7号窗口速度很快，大约是10号窗口
的1倍。通过率大概是40%。我们队先是两对老人去探亲，都过了，然后又一对旅游的，被
拒了，一个赴美商务团的，大概问了20秒钟，过了（超强），一个老头去探亲（2000了）
，被拒了。然后就轮到我了。

Vo基本先是翻护照，看你以前的纪录。我在新加坡签过一次b-1,一次f-2，都过了。这次回
北京签f-1。Vo拿着看了半天，往电脑里敲了几下，叫我的名字。

Me: good morning sir
Vo: good morning, (looking at i-20), so you are going to study…
Me: yes, I come to apply f-1 visa for my graduate study in unive of …
Vo: (looking at my previous US visa), where do you live now?
Me; Singapore
Vo: why you apply in Beijing?
Me: because I am holding a china passport issued in Beijing and according to y
our policy, it is strongly recommend that I should apply here, also I am on a
holiday now in Beijing so I just come to apply.
Vo: (nod), why you plan to studying in this univ?
Me: sorry?
Vo: repeat
Me; oh, bla….. (about 1 mins -_-!)
Vo: (interrupt), what do you plan to do after graduation?
Me; I plan to come back to Singapore and continue working there, do you want s
ee the letter from my current supervisor?
Vo: ok,
I gave it to him
Vo: open it for me
Then I began to open the letter, and I wanted to speak more so I began to say
my plan while opening the letter: …..
Vo: (interrupt) give me the letter
Passed him the letter, he began to read
Me: (continue saying my plan) bla….
Vo: why don’t you stay in US after graduation?
Me: sorry?
Vo: repeat
Me: oh, my wife and I want to come back to Singapore after graduation, bla..,
she is now studying in Univ of … (same with me)
Vo: oh
Me: (take out her visa) this is her visa and her enrollment in univ of xxx.
Vo: (roughly scan it), ok, (didn’t want to take it, begin to collect all the
materials left on the table )
I am going to send these for security check, … (can’t hear clearly)
Me: are you going to send these to Washington?
Vo: yes, and I will return you your passport
Me: ok, thank you very much, you also need my resume?
Vo: oh, yes, yes.
Gave him the resume,
Me: thank you , byebye, have a nice day
Vo: thank you

因为学的是ee,所以check也是情理之中，去年我老婆也被check了。如果是别的签证官，我
想我会努力多解释点，争取不被check，可是这个实在有点害怕，不敢多说话。

从始至终,vo也没往电脑里敲字，一直在问我，我怀疑当时他翻我的护照，看i-20的时候就
决定要check我了，基本上没有怎么绕圈子，直接就问了些重点问题。Supporting letter
还是有用的，这是他唯一看了的东西。最后只拿走了它和resume。大家写sl还是正是点，
最好让老板写，这样语气不一样。打印用得纸正规写，等等。

下来的时候被人叫住了问了几句，是ericiris么？不知道怎么认出我的？是不是我说话声
很大？

像我这样的是可以在新加坡签的，但是感觉把握不大。我认识的几个拿了新加坡永久居民
权的人都回国前了，（包括我老婆），这样至少不算是跨区。这也涉及到你的plan,如果是
想回中国，一定要回中国签，新加坡的vo一个经典的据签理由是: I don’t know much a
bout china, so please go back to apply.
