Educating children is a more difficult task today than it was in the past because they spend so much time on cell phone, online games, and social networking Web site.

With the rapid development of technology and science, more and more children are given the chance to use cell phone, to play online games and to browse websites. An increasing number of people hold the view that educating children becomes more difficult than it did before. Personally, I tend to believe that educating children is becoming increasingly easier than it was before.
Although one has to admit children today spend lots of time on advanced technology, especially cell phone and computer, it does not mean it becomes difficult to educate children. Conversely, enjoying advanced technology has lot of positive influences on children. For one thing, enjoying advanced technology make children have a more closely relationship with their parents than they had before. For instance, parents could only talk with their children when they were staying together in the past, while today parents can communicate with their children anytime via cell phone, which could promote the relationship between child and the parent. For another, using computer to play online games and browse social networking Web site contribute to children's communication skill. For example, children make lots of friends when they are playing online games, and they also meet new people when they are seeing social website. There is no doubt that they spend lots of time in communicating with new friends, which does good to their communication skill, besides, they can learn from others and be educated through this course.
Moreover, nowadays children obtain plenty of educational sources from Internet, so they will be educated in an better way than before. One cannot overlook that there are lots of educational sources on the Internet, for instance, study group in networking website. Children can attend this kind of group to study with other people. However, they could only learn through printed books and study by themselves in the past. It is conceivable that they now enjoy more advantageous educational sources than they did before.
To put it in a nutshell, children actually benefit from advanced technology, especially cell phone and computer. To be sure, they have a better relationship with family than they had in the past, besides, they learn much more via computer than they did before. Thus it is conceivable that children have better opportunities to enjoy the privileges of being educated today than they did in the past.
