Openings for Two PhD Students in 1) Heat Transfer in Graphene and 2D Materials, 2) Heat Generation and Dissipation in Batteries

Description:       
My lab currently has openings for two PhD students to investigate 1) heat transfer in graphene and other 2D materials, for thermal management of emerging optoelectronic and sensor applications, and 2) heat generation and dissipation in Li-ion batteries. The PhD students will enroll to the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the National University of Singapore in Aug 2016. All undergraduate and Master's students who will graduate by Aug 2016 are welcomed to apply. A Master's degree is welcomed, but not necessary. Students with backgrounds in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Physics are especially welcomed. Please note that GRE and TOEFL test scores are not required for the application. Since we have a very tight deadline, please be prepared to submit a complete application to our department by the end of Oct.

In the CV, please also include details of your educational background, including the average score and ranking of your undergraduate studies (and Master's studies, if any), your research experience and publications, if any.
