Tips for Academic CVs
Consider the type of institution to which you are applying. For example, a Research University may require you to focus on your research outputs, whereas an Institute of Technology may require you to focus more on your teaching experience.
Your academic CV is likely to be longer than the typical 2 page CV, particularly as you progress through your career.
Sometimes candidates choose to use an appendix to give an abstract of their thesis and/or a listing of conferences and publications.
Aim to show how you have added value to your current department and what skills you could bring to the new position.
Your ability to attract funds can be important to potential academic employers.
