Prof. Yanchao Zhang (http://cnsg.asu.edu/zhang) in the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University is recruiting multiple PhD students, starting in Fall 2016. A successful candidate is expected to conduct research related to one or multiple areas in wireless/mobile security, wireless networks, mobile computing, or social networks. An ideal candidate is expected to have:

- An earned master degree in EE, CS or a relevant area before Fall 2016
- Strong mathematical skills, including probability analysis
- Solid background in wireless communications and networking
- Previous research experience in wireless is a plus
- Background and research experience in security or cryptography is a big plus

ASU is in the Phoenix metropolitan area, one of the fastest growing areas in US with a large and ever-growing Chinese population. The School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering is the largest unit in ASU and has over 70 tenured or tenure-track faculty members. Its graduate program was ranked 27 by USNEWS in 2014.
