70 some people think that the automobile has improved modern life, others think that the automobile has caused serious problems. What is your opinion, use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

There is an intense debate whether the automobile has improved modern life, or just has caused serious problems. In my point of view, although being a product of industrialization, the automobile indeed, has caused a series of problems to our planet and human health.

Admittedly, the automobile brings a great variety of conveniences to us. It has changed human’s concept of space and time since appeared a century ago. Traveling long distances with relative short time has become possible. Before the emergency of the automobile, people arrived at their destination by foot, sea or train with a few days or even months. Automobiles make it possible for human beings to travel from one place to another with ease. For instance, one who plans to take a trip from Beijing to Shanghai would only spend a few hours on the journey, by the advantage of the automobile.

However, negative effects, which automobiles have exerted on us, are more noticeable. Pollution is a typical example. With the increasing number of automobiles, more and more waste gas is released to atmosphere. The non-fresh air has seriously destroyed environment, and then, led to health problem. The waste gas makes the sky look so gray that it seems that particles of dirt are all absorbed by human body, with the action of breathing. Common sense tells us that an array of health problems would be caused by living under such circumstances. In that case, there is no wonder why people prefer to live in the country where air pollution is not so much severe.

Another negative impact, which is brought about by automobiles, is traffic problem. On motorways, one can travel at high speeds, which would increase possibilities of traffic. Every year, thousands of people are killed, for their careless driving such as excessive tiredness or drunkenness. In addition, too much automobiles are one of the important reasons of traffic jams.

From what has been discussed above, we can clearly draw the conclusion that the automobile has, to large extent, caused numerous problems to our planet, as well as human’s health, even lives. In order to make full use of advantages of the automobile, we must do our best to reduce the adverse influences to minimum.

You have the opportunity to visit a foreign country for two weeks. Which country would you like to visit? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.

I’ve had a dream to travel around the world since my childhood. Different areas or regions have different characteristics, presenting a diversity of cultures and customs. For me, every country is full of attractions and it’s so difficult to choose only one to visit. However, from the bottom of my heart, the country I’m the most eager to tour is India.

As one of the Four Great Ancient Civilizations (the Egyptian Civilization, the Mesopotamian Civilization, the Indus Civilization, and the Chinese Civilization), India is the cradle of many distinctive and splendid cultures, embodied especially in the form of religions. Religions that exist now or used to exist in India abound in fantasticality, mystery and wisdom, and are embraced by thousands of people.

There are two primary religions in India. The first one is Buddhism. It was created by Sakyamuni, and then spread abroad. Many countries like China, Thailand and Burma were affected deeply by Buddhism until nowadays, even in western country there are a great deal of Buddhists. The other is Hinduism, which emerged later but is more popular than Buddhism in India. Each year, thousands of Hindus bathe together in the Ganges to get rid of the evil and dust from their bodies, which constitutes a wonderful scene for tourists. Because of the profound religious influence, the number of temples in India is too large to count; and most of the temples are worth visiting. What’s more, every day there are prayers and other ceremonies on these sites. I desire to experience the beauty and majesty of these magic moments very much.

Furthermore, India is also famous for her singing and dancing traditions. People can watch singing and dancing on weddings, funerals, birthdays and many festivals. Also, singing and dancing features largely in Indian movies and has become part of Indian people’s life. I’m very interested in Indian singing and dancing, and look forward to watching a genuine live performance in India.

In addition to mysterious religious cultures and marvelous music, India is a wonderland of beautiful landscape and grand ancient architecture. Let’s take the example of the Taj Mahal, a white marble mausoleum built by an emperor for his favorite wife. It is one of the most significant historical sites in India and is well preserved. An accomplishment of both Hindu and Muslim cultures by ancient Indian people, it has been ranked as one of the world’s seven greatest miracles.  

In conclusion, I have an intense curiosity about India and strongly hope I can visit it some day. I like appreciating mysterious religious cultures; I’m crazy about South Asia singing and dancing; and I enjoy beautiful natural landscape as well as magnificent ancient buildings with multicultural characteristics. India possesses all of these wonders, she is therefore my dream destination of traveling.

If given a chance to send a gift to a child, I would like select an animal, especially of small and soft furry kinds, such as a dog, cat or rabbit. It is because that these little creatures can not only bring interest to kids, but teach them how to communicate, to understand love, and even more, to  overcome difficulties, which are important for the development of children.

In the first place, animals can help children to communicate with others, yet these creatures can not talk like human beings. Through keeping constant eye contact with each other, touching smooth furry softly, children and animals deliver their messages by language of heart. These interactions tell children that only through friendly communication can one achieve the most effective goal.

In the second place, animals give kids a vivid lesson that explains the meaning of love. In nowadays, many kids are so spoiled that they innocently believe that love is just what their parents give them. All they do is only receiving care from family and enjoying the pleasure of shopping, watching movies, joining in parties, etc. However, raising an animal requires a kid to feed it on time, often wash it, and take it out for walk. All these requirements need sufficient time, large amounts of energy and much patience. If the animal were ill, the child would spend more time taking care about it. With no doubt, by keeping an animal , a child can better understand the content of love which asks for giving not only receiving.

What is more, the animal’s character related to overcoming difficulties exerts a profound impact on the development of children. Children would inevitably meet all kinds of problems in their long and arduous journeys. Some examples coming from animals may encourage them to deal with difficulties bravely. A dog dwelling on an American family lost its two back legs, while it still has been living happily with the help of two wheels till now. As a general principle, the dog might have dead long ago, however, the spirit of striving for living plays an essential role. Compared with that brave dog , there is no excuse for children to quit when they meet trouble, even threatening to death.

Above all, an animal is qualified to make its own contribution to the development of a child. With its tutoring, a child is able to master the skill of friendly communication, to know the real value of love, and what is more, to have the determination of overcoming difficulties one has to face with during growth..

觉得overcome difficulties 用得太多了 不知道有没有相关搭配表达一个意思

字数写得过多 还是时间太宽裕了，要是限时有这一半就好了 但总感觉只有这样写才能表达清楚，不知道考场上写几段比较合适啊

今天我做0105的阅读,看到一个短语是to some extent, 也许你说的那个to large extent是对的.

你的文章段落之间衔接的很好啊, 我觉得挺自然的.可能在某些小词上多弄点花样好了,多换换不同的词语表达相同的意思.

考场上作文一般写3--4段就好了
