Our group is interested in the study of energy conversion and carbon metabolism in plant. Photosynthesis directly or indirectly supplies energy to all life forms on this planet. Energy harvest in plants starts from the photosystems, and subsequently involves Calvin cycle, glycolysis, tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA) and the mitochondrial respiratory chain. We wish by studying the above processes we could improve energy efficiency, growth and yield of plants.
