有没有同学是两个教授jointly supervise的呀?这是什么情况呢?

经过面试后过了半个月没消息，忍不住去问问，然后面试的教授给了如下回复：

We actually have not finished the review processes yet. We will have the first on-site interview for those domestic students on Feb. 17 (Friday).

关键是下面这段：

Both Prof. A and I sent a strong recommendation to the committee. If you are admitted, you will work in both Prof. A's and my group and we will jointly supervise you. Prof. A will serve as your primary advisor, but I will contribute no less and will be your co-advisor.

我是冲着面试的教授去的，然后他现在说要和A教授联合指导，请问所谓的co-advisor是个什么情况？只是挂个名字吗？还是真正的两个老师都会给予很密切的指导，做项目也会叫上我而不会因为我跟着A教授了就不理我？
