求了解tilburg的大神们进来聊聊！！！ddl is around the corner！

tilburg U 3.9的ddl，手上还有一个CUHK的mphil的offer，3.7号截止。本来还有NCSU的ad，问了一下director，说我不在first-round的shortlist上，所以说基本上已经不考虑NCSU了。现在个人倾向于tilburg，虽然CUHK的mphil也是一个不错的跳板，但是自己感觉跳不动了也不想呆在香港，就想直接读phd或者可以直接转的phd的master了。

对于tilburg有几个疑问：
1. 听说他家master转phd有点难度，我发邮件问过一个老师，老师说vast majority of students who want to transfer to phd and have positive recommendation from future supervisor 可以留下来。我就想问一下版上了解tilburg的大神们说一下具体的情况！！！
2. 他们家之前没有特别具体的了解，我只知道计量（而且我猜是理论计量，不是应用计量。但是如果是理论计量基本等于我过去学应该会学不走。。。）很好，那其他的方向如何呢？！！！！！！
3. 如果从他家phd毕业之后，如果要进业界的话又怎么样呢？！！！！！

求大神帮助！！！蟹蟹大家！！！！

Tilburg offer 的是 MPhil 吧 ?
funding 如何 ?

1. means that they are avoiding to answer the question directly. If the funding, and the MPhil --> PhD is good, they will say this explicitly, instead of saying "good recommendation".
2. the first question is......what area are you interested in?

我不是 Tilburg 的学生，只是认识一些朋友/prof在那里：Tilburg 的 funding 没有前些年好，所以在有意减少 MPhil→PhD 的比例，这两年大概是60+%；没进入PhD项目的同学中，有一两个能申到北美/英国更Top的学校，有三四个会转到Maastricht之类荷兰稍差一档的学校，其他的就被迫去业界了。
That being said，能留下并成功毕业的学生 placement 都非常好，去业界的太少我觉得没有参考价值。

yes, it's MPhil and I am offered about 1000 euro per month.

1. so you think the percentage of transferring from MPhil to PhD is not very positive(high)?
2. I am interested in applied area, not very explicitly. But I am not working on theoretical area and macro field. I have known that Tilburg is very good at behavior econ and I have browsed some of the paper. I don't know some of them very much, but I think it's quite interesting.

I have declined CUHK MPhil, then Tilburg is my only choice unless certain USA offer comes....额。。。

我是蒂村 RM Econ 2 ，Tilburg没有版里面那些贴子说的那么没钱，只要你想读，留下还是没问题的，而且荷兰经济现在很不错，各种补贴，所以即便你就业也没有问题，而且tilburg还是很多外界人都不知道的与业界合作的PhD项目，这样可以给你很多option，唯一缺点就是中餐太少了。。。。楼主可以私信我
