------题目------
Governments should focus more on solving the immediate problems of today rather than trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future.
------正文------
The speaker asserts that the immediate problems of today, ranther than the anticipated problems of the future, should be focused more. As a matter of fact, governments should be resposible for not only current people, but also their decendants. Thus, in my point of view, governments should pay attention to both the immediate problems and the anticipated problems of the future, if they are powerful enough. I will show sereval reasons to boslter my point view.
To begin with, in terms of education, the government should solve problems not only in current time, but also in the future. As is known to all, any country's develpment depends on its educational level. A good system of education can provide enough elites for the rapid and steady development. Also, a good system of education can improve the whole level of the people. However, there are still numberous children who cannot go to study in school in many developing and undeveloped countries. Then one of the immediate problems for these countries is to assure every child with proper age can go to school. In china, the problem is specially serious. As a developing country, the most serious problem that restricts the pace of development is the low level of average education. In china, there are 80 million farmers, most of which is only graduated from element schools. Even if most of farmers can complete study in secondary schools, the pace of development in china will be much more rapid. Therefore, solving immediate problems about education is necessary for Chinese government. On the other hand, the government should alsopay attention to the anticipated problems of the future. How it can preserve elites and appeal more elites, how it can improve the hardware and software in order to catch up with educacional level of the developed countries are two prime problems of the future. The Chinese government should invest for reseaches about problems of the future to seek for further devopment, if it would like to catch up other developed countries.
In addition, when it comes to reseaches of technology, it should be the same attitude toward the problems both at present and inth future. The modern industry is the result of the develpment of technology which can make us much more effecient. the modern factories, which rely on the convenience brought by technology, are much more effecient than traditonal factories. For those developing countries, more modern factoes mean more rapid pace of development. So their governments should focus on this immediate problems--that is, modern industrialization--in order to promote the increasing pace of economic, so that the overall living condition can be improved. Meanwhile, a great amount of modern factories tend to lead to large amounts of consumption of natural rescouces and the environmental pollution, both of which will hamper devlpment of the country. So, though it is a developing country which may be lack of finance, the governmentshould still invest for the researches of envirornment problems and fathering pollution, shich could assure a lasting rapid development.
Finally, considering the field of military, we can easily find that it also requires to solve both problems at present and that of the future. As the assurance of any country, military level more or less means the status of the country in the world. Solving immediate problems inmilatay is ncessary, because some adverse group from internal and external or some adverse countries are endangering the national safety all the time. Yet what is more important is solving anticipated problems of the future. Each country applies its most sophiscated techonology on its milatary, since the pace of development of technology is so rapid that an advanced technology yesterday may become a retreated one today. The researches of the future problems can never lag too much in any time, so governments should take care of both of the problems in order to assure the safety of the country and keep promoting its international status.
In conclusion, without solving the immediat problems of today, the countries are impossible to develop rapidly and governments cannot win the favor of the oublic since the living condition of the masses will not be improved. Without tryingsolving the problems of the future, the development will not be health. Therefore, governments should focus on both immediate problems and problems of the future. |
