What is the purpose of school education? Some feel that students need better preparation for careers in the near future and should be taught more basic job-related skills, while others emphasize more on providing students with a value system. In fact, the school's job is to enhance the comprehensive development of the growing child, rather than to pour information for a specific job. Thus, education on value systems should be adhered more importance.

Firstly, since value system provides instructive standards and tools for one's comprehensive development, it should be put into first place. Only being aware of what is right and what is wrong can people follow the right way and avoid the wrong one. A case in point is that after living values, an educational program (LVEP) has been put into application, the educators note an increase in respect, caring, cooperation, motivation, and the ability to solve peer conflicts on the part of students. Aggressive behaviors decline as positive social skills and respect increase. In my eyes, all the people should learn how to be a human being before they know how to work, because job is not the whole life, but merely a part of life. In this way, living values like cooperation, freedom, honesty, humility, love, respect, responsibility, simplicity, tolerance and comity are necessary to be kept in mind.

Secondly, a correct value system helps a lot to pursue a specific job. As an employee of a company, one should be honest and responsible to the company; for a nurse, love and tolerance is necessary; when doing an operation, the doctors involved should cooperate well; and when it comes to army, all the soldiers should know comity and loyalty. Unless a right value system is set up, one cannot make a good job. Therefore, when preparing students for their professional careers, schools should inculcate a proper value system to the students first.

On the other hand, without a scientific value system, people would go on the wrong road. These instances are very common nowadays due to increasing enticement and declining moral systems. Lacking a correct value system, many unmoral, but highly educationed people make use of the professional knowledge and skills they learned from school to commit commercial crimes like using computer skills to embezzle money from the bank or stealing business secrets from rivals. Such malefactions with knowledge taught in school disobey the original objective of education. To solve this problem, schools should pay more attention to education on value systems.

Admittedly, everyone needs some basic job-related skills to make a living, so professional training is an aspect of education. However, only training is not sufficient. The knowledge and skills learned in school are not thorough enough to handle the practical happenings in a flexible way, while ideas and methods are more crucial when facing practical problems. Moreover, the cliché told in school is too outdated to contain the newest information, and professional training provided by the companies rather than the schools seems more meaningful and effective. Accordingly, the training function played by the school is dispensable comparing with the more significant function of implicating value systems.

汗～一不小心，又丢人了！多谢提醒的说～仔细研究了发贴要求，看来还得把提纲写一下才规范：
1 价值观对于全面发展很重要（开头写了学校要以促进学生全面发展为己任，呼应了一下）
2 价值观对于从事具体的职业很重要举了几个小例子
3 没有正确价值观，会走上邪路
另外，结尾里面简单讲了学校搞工作培训的弊端，再次重申价值观教育的重要
