Facts are stubborn things. They cannot be altered by our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions.
提纲：
思路是查了韦氏词典之后得到的，分别针对fact不同的定义来谈它是否可以改变。
1发生的事情不可改，主要写了历史事实
2客观存在的事实不可改，主要写自然规律科学发现什么的
3现状可以通过主观能动性改变
也不知道自己对fact的定义理解的对不对，大家有空帮忙瞅一眼，这么写行不？讨论讨论～

Are our human beings powerful enough to change the facts? In history, human beings have altered a lot of things like our living conditions and the natural environment, however, when it comes to fact, is the answer still yes? My answer is not so absolute depending on the different definitions of fact.

As we all know, a thing done, as a meaning of fact, cannot be changed. We are not able to alter what have happened in history unless we could go back to the past and create new historical facts to replace the old ones, as imagined in some science fictions. Nevertheless, it is unlikely to be true, proved by Einstein's theory. Although some people, due to various reasons, want to tamper history like the Japanese government, who has always tried to cover up even beautify their disgraceful invasion in the Second World War, the truth will never be forgotten or changed. This irresponsible and cruel action is rather despicable and causes apprehension and repulsion of all Asian people suffered severely from the war. Furthermore, sometime because of the limited research conditions or the loss of historical materials, the truth of certain historical facts has been concealed by all kinds of hypothesis and false images. But with the development of science and technology, the more advanced research tools are invented, the more cultural relic and historical data are discovered, the closer those suppositions will be to the facts. Finally, truth will be clarified.

In the scientific field, the facts, as information presented objectively, are also unmodifiable. Laws and principles in natural world cannot be rectified by human will. No matter how Roman Catholic Church wished to justify Ptolemy's geocentric theory, the truth stands on Copernicus's side and heliocentric theory finally wins. Another case is that, accepted by almost all people and taken as gospel, Newton's classical mechanics has its defects, which come out when used in micro world. Unwillingly at first, people at last acknowledge that Einstein's relative theory is according to fact. From these cases, we can easily find that objective facts are inconsistent with people’s wishes or preference.

However, it does not mean human has nothing to do with our actuality, another explanation of fact. In fact, people have done a lot to change our present situation, which completely brings forth the strength of human power and will. For instance, space exploration is now a fact but only existed in legends or imaginations in the past. The dream to fly out of the earth sparks people’s inspirations and enthusiasm to make great progress in astronomy and aeronautic technology so that once impossible mission is fulfilled at present. And with the passion to improve our living conditions, people have produced a large number of other facts as well, like new inventions by brilliant inventors and new medical treatment by outstanding doctors and pharmacists etc.

To sum up, facts happened or existed objectively could not be changed though, we can try our best to control and alter the tendency of future facts. It is the desire to change the reality that pushes the society forward.

我乱弹了一些，个人意见，不要介意啊。
语言上面感觉不太fluent，用的代词有几个地方不太明确。有的句子语法没问题，但是读着比较别扭。第1段说的逻辑和后面有出入。这么写行不行的问题，我想应该是可以的，关键是要自圆其说。Jiayou!

Human power and intelligence have been magnified to such an extent that people seem to have a marvelous ability to change everything in the world. Are our human beings powerful enough to change the facts? My answer is not so absolute depending on the different definitions of fact.

『第1段后面furthermore到段末不是也在改变现状吗？前面是改变假为真？这里是把一个fact改为，提高为更好的fact？』
那一段的重点是不可改，所以furthermore强调的是，事实不会被假相掩盖，假相最终通过进一步发现和研究接近事实，直到事实澄清
